As Germany has Cancer rising, Saturn, Jupiter and the nodes are functional malefics. There are natal afflictions in the chart that are now being triggered. - Ketu is closely conjunct the MEP of the ascendant while aspecting H5, H7, H9. - L8 Saturn is in H6 is exactly aspecting L1 Moon in H8. - Rahu is closely conjunct the MEP of H7 while aspecting H11, H1, H3 - Rahu is also aspecting Venus and Sun in H3, while L3 Mercury is weak in infancy of H3. - Ketu and Rahu are mutually afflicting L6 Jupiter - L6 Jupiter is afflicting H5, H7 and H9. Now, in the major period of MMP Saturn the sub-period of FM Ketu is about to begin. A dual malefic period is considered difficult in SA, but especially so as it involves both planets in afflictions of H1 and L1 - involving the lord and house of obstacles and endings (L8/H8). Moroever, during this time the following transits are triggering all these difficult placements: - Tr L8 Saturn is closely conjunct natal Ketu, conjunct natal L6 Jupiter and mutually aspecting natal Rahu. - Tr Rahu closely conjunct MEP of H9 and closely aspecting MEP of H1, H3, H5. It is also aspecting natal Ketu and Jupiter in MEP of H1 as well as tr L8 Saturn. - Tr L6 Jupiter is in stationary movement at 25° in Libra where it is closely aspecting natal L1 Moon in H8. - Rahu is closely aspecting transit L8 Saturn, and this aspect will remain in place in on the exact MEP of the chart for several months - the transit nodes are now settling into a stationary placement in exact aspect to the natal nodal placements, considered a painful transit. In view of the above, it is clear in terms of SA, if this chart is authentic, that a serious karma is about to befall Germany, involving the indications of self (H1), obstacles and endings (H8) and accidents (H6) as well as the sudden and explosive element of Ketu and the deceptive and volatile element of Rahu. These adverse combinations will soon reveal if the chart has predictive merit. Things we take for granted, like garbage collection, have stopped. After ten days now, the garbage has begun to pile up. The aspect of Rahu to Saturn is really beginning to have an effect. The flu has also spread to France this weekend, and what is perhaps more shocking, it had spread to a poultry farm. The bird flu has been found to spread to humans through ingestion of infected birds. French President Chirac told his countrymen to avoid panic. He said boiling the poultry would kill the virus and make it safe to eat. On the bright side, Germany leads the winter olympics, having garnered 29 medals, three more than the second place country, USA. For now, I am inclined to think the latter, as France and other countries are currently also suffering from an outbreak of bird flu and collapse of consumer confidence in this food staple. This question can´t really be answered until the situation in Germany distinguishes itself more. That said, a strong Mars or L6 in a chart can bring victory in competition. In the proposed chart for Germany, both Mars and L6 Jupiter are strong. In the chart, Ketu afflicts Jupiter and this activates the energy of Jupiter in the sub- period of Ketu. However, as Jupiter and Ketu are both FMs, the combined influence is not likely to be a favourable one. Further obervation of unfolding events in Germany are needed to say anything more definite about this chart. This is a serious development as the possible means of infection now includes pets, in addition to wild birds and poultry.
