A

United States military helicopter has crashed in Afghanistan, officials say.

The CH-47 Chinook carrying 10 US-led coalition members, came

down in Kunar province near a " mountaintop landing zone " 240km (150

miles) east of Kabul.

The crash was not the result of enemy fire, said a military spokeswoman, and

it is not known if anyone has died.
