Guest guest Posted March 8, 2009 Report Share Posted March 8, 2009 Dear Sir, I have read somewhere that these 5 things, one's birth, Education, Life Span, Wealth and deeds were determined at the time when the prana enters the mother's womb. This is a great saying of Mr. Chanakya in his chanakya niti shastra who is known for his great works like Artha Shastra and i hope all the people knows about him very well. So how far the free will of a person will influence a person and upto what degree and in what kind of matters? Actually how we should define the free will? If these 5 are predetermined then what can we do in our lives with our intelligence and determination ,etc? I thank you very much. It is a fact that at the most,all such Upayas etc., can influence one's Karmic fruits...by only 2 to 5%... by giving only solace/mental satisfaction, that I have done something to mitigate my " misfortunes " , other than that, Upayas/Havans/ Wearing of gems-Stones etc have NO MAJOR DEMONSTRABLY SIGNIFICANT VALUE... ! ! I have during these years challenged every person suggesting an UPAYA...to give me a single example where this UPAYA or ANY UPAYA has borne any tangible fruit...and which can be authenticated. ..but I have not received any reply from anybod AS YET... ! ! ! I have often wondered,throughout my last 40 years of experience as a practising astrologer,how educated and intelligent men also often fall prey to such bizarre thinking...
