Can I chant saturn mantra on my own?

The Vedic Mantras do not come as a package scheme which says that if u chant

a particular mantra X number of times then u get protection for Y number of

years.

 

 

 

It is ur faith, and sincerity and concentration of chanting of the mantra

which will give u relief. The results start after u finish 23000 count. U

should not stop at 23000 count, but keep continuing the chant of the mantra

till ur saddi satti is not over for the next 5 years.

 

 

 

Ur chart also says kaala saarpa yog, u should also do its shanty

1. My question is can I chant

what is the procedure. Do I need to take any certain precautions? For how

may years it will protect me?

 

2. Which other planets are bad for me? Can I chant those slokas also?

If so what's the procedure?

Consider recitation of Chamakam third anuvaka. Its much better than

your shani graha mantra.

You can chant the mantras yourself, no problem in doing so.

 

You have to understand the procedure of doing a pooja or japam.

 

Normally, after taking bath in the morning when one begins the pooja one has to

have the picture of the deity lighting the lamp (diya), lighting incense,

offering flowers and pancha-dravya etc. (to give bath to the mantra

deity/abhishekam).

 

For more details you can search the net and you will find the pooja procedure.
