Guest guest
Re: Tamil Dictionery of the words used in Naadi Astrology. Dear Sri.Wg Cdr Shashiokant Oak Thank you for joining our group. Our initiative is to digitize and e- preserve palm leaf manuscripts and other heritage materials. We made considerable progress in e-preserving old books. Our collections of palm leaves are rather limited. It is not because of lack of enthusiasm from our part but most of the palm leaves are under the custody of Government libraries, who hesitate sharing 'our common heritage'. We are not in a position to give financial compensation for private collections, as our funds are very limited. However, if a donor comes up with this idea of preserving palm leaves in the hands of private individuals we can put our volunteers in to action. As for as Naadi suvadis are concerned they are under private custody and they guard that secretly. I tried to obtain those suvadis for scanning but they don't part with them. I heard that a French group is visiting various Naadi centers in Tamilnadu to e-preserve them. I do not have any update on it. I heard about this in New Mexico from a Tamil family for the first time and after that I visited Vaideswaran temple. A study by an Australian couple revealed that these Naadis are a universal predictive system. By that I mean whether you read your Naadi in Gujarat, Bengal or in Tamilnadu the predictions are the same. I tried only in a couple of places in Tamilnadu. There is a need for in-depth study on this ancient science of futurology. The international Naadi centers are run by a few clans from Vaideswaran temple. They carry the Suvadis from Tamilnadu to various places and read the predictions. They do with in Tamilnadu as well. To do any study with Naadi we need to acquaint ourselves with these clans and get their trust. We are certainly interested in your initiative and would like to hear from you now and then.
