Guest guest
Hi all, I recently visited a leaf astrology center in Mulund, Mumbai. I have related that experience in an earlier post. See /message/3184 As mentioned in that post, I think that on that occasion the reader was cheating, i.e. his overall claim that he was reading the predictions from palm leaves was false. However, I still have difficulty explaining some points. If we believe that he used some computer program to generate my astrological predictions, how did he do it? I can't explain the following points: a. Time: he did not seem to have time to generate astrological predictions for me. As mentioned in that post, he had initially started to read for my wife and not for me. In that case, how did he get my predictions? It is true that he left the room on some pretext and returned after a minute or so. It is conceivable that he got my predictions from somebody outside of our room. But still, he must be a really cool hand to do so. b. Past: he asked a lot of yes/no type questions before declaring that he had found my leaf. After that, he " read " my past from the leaf, repeating essentially the same information that he gleaned from us. Even then, I can only admire his memory to accurately recall a lot of pieces of information. c. Future: I am sure that he was " reading " my future, either from the leaf or from somewhere else, but I'm sure he was reading something. Also, he appeared to me to be reading from the leaves. I consider myself to be a good observer, I think I would have known if he was reading from somewhere else. Also, he repeated my entire horoscope (i.e. position of various grahas at different locations in my kundali). I doubt if somebody can just recollect all positions accurately from the memory. So if he was indeed reading the info (from somewhere other than the leaf), how could he do it without me finding it out? Does anybody have convincing answers to these points? Does anybody know how these guys use horoscope programs to cheat? Thanks, Amit
