Hello list,

The use of predictions to a) gauge the veracity of mundane charts and

b) to learn mundane SA astrology, has been advocated. Vyas Munidas

has recently suggested list members keep a systematic track of

predictions made for easier verification of the charts being

followed. This post is with a view to both requirements.

Earlier the prediction was made that the transit aspects in the

Iceland chart in the second half of October gave a " slim chance " for

an earthquake of some note to occur has been realised. Now that

transit L6 Saturn has passed over the exact point of natal L4

Jupiter, and even if October is not finsihed yet, it is perhaps time

to evaluate the prediction. That said, further activity can´t be

excluded in coming days as transit Saturn remains very close to the

natal placement of L4 Jupiter. In addition to frequent minor

movements, two moderate earthquakes occurred:

14 October 2006: earthquake of 3,5 magnitude on the Richter scale

27 October 2006: two earthquakes of 3,0 magnitude

The former earthquake was big enough to be reported in the papers. A

graph showing the chart contacts at that time has been uploaded as

gif file in Photos section and SA Theory sub-section of the SAMVA web

page.

We have to wait until the summer of 2008 to see a more significant

test, although Saturn will pass over L4 Jupiter in the chart again in

early 2007. However, this contact alone is not sufficient to create a

big tremblor. A number of close adverse transit contacts are required

for that as the study of history revealed.

On a seperate note, with the conjunction of L12 Sun and L8 Mars and

L2 Venus on H2 MEP of the 9° 30' Virgo rising chart for Iceland in

recent days, with also L1 Mercury conjunct L4 Jupiter in old

age/infancy coming under the exact aspect from stationary Rahu, has

caused a tremor in the financial community on Friday, with the ISK

falling over 2% on Friday as a rumor spread. Given the improvement of

the transits in coming weeks, it is likely this tension will pass.

However, due note should be made of the passage of L6 Saturn into H12

next week along with Ketu entering H12 and Rahu entering H6 one week

after that suggests that financial stability of the Icelandic economy

will remain a significant issue through 2007, but to ease

considerably when the Mercury sub period begins in January 2008.

Working with an authentic mundane chart is both interesting and

rewarding.

Best regards,

C

Dear Cosmologer,

Good work and good call. The chart looks very accurate. Thank you for shedding light on the cause of these natural disaster aspects.

(Here's a subject for thought - if a country is conquered, renamed etc it becomes a new country. Say Iceland for instance and the new country is birthed at an appropriate auspicious time, astrologically these earthquakes will stop and the country will rise to a world power.)

Dear Vyas,

Thank you for the kind words.

As for the hypothetical, you raise a valid point. A relationship

should exist between the collective karma seen in a mundane birth

chart and the objective conditions of life for those people.

Best regards,

C

Dear Jorge,

Thanks for your kind words.

The prediction covered the second half of October and in this period

we had the following earthquakes.

14 October 2006: 3.5 on the Richter scale

27 October 2006: 3.0 and 3.0 on the Richter scale

31 October 2006: 3.0 and 3.6 on the Richter scale

1 November 2006: 5.0 on the Richter scale

The odds of a large seizmic event occuring in any two week period

are very low. The fact that the last 5.0+ Richter event in Iceland

took place in mid June 2000 is a case in point.

Hello list,

A further study of the Iceland chart and natural disasters has the

objective to see if there are compelling transits in the near future

that could trigger an earthquake or volcanic eruption.

A survey of the transits suggests the summer of 2008 may see some

action of this sort. There is also a slim chance such an event may

occur in late October 2006 when the planets will be bereft of energy

and adverse contacts are made in the chart. While the transits will

not be quite as difficult as in some cases seen from the history,

they are sufficiently bad to warrant notice.

In the second half of October, Sa/Sa/Su period will be running.

Transit L6 Saturn will be conjunct natal L4 Jupiter in H11, aspecting

transit L2 Venus and L12 Sun in H1, transit L8 Mars in H2 and natal

L11 Moon in H8. At the same time, L8 Mars will be transit afflicting

natal Ketu in H5. Natal L8 Mars will be afflicting transit L1 Mercury

in H2. Transit Ketu in H1 will also be aspecting natal Ketu. L4

Jupiter will be in old age in H2.

Dear ,

Thank you for the congratulations.

The news today is showing that geologists have adjusted the data and

consider the event to have been 4.5 on the Richter scale. Still, it

is a fairly strong quake. The news report says that for the immediate

area, this was the biggest quake in 15 years and residents were

genuinely scared.

In examining the chart on the day what stands our are the following

transits:

- transit L6 Saturn had just entered dusthana H12 (0° 01' Leo)

- transit L6 Saturn was closely conjunct natal L4 Jupiter (29° 47'

Cancer)

- transit stationary Rahu (0° 36' Pisces) was aspecting transit L4

Jupiter (1° 03' Scorpio)

- transit L11 Moon, the dispositor of natal Jupiter, had entered a

dusthana, H6 (20° 15' Aquarius).

Best regards,

C

Dear Bala,

Thanks for your congrats.

Correct predictions is not something most astrologers can take for

granted. What I hope this work shows is that when SA

i) is properly applied

ii) is based on an authentic mundane chart

it will consistently deliver accurate predictions.

Best regards,

Dear friends.

In August 2006, when making the prediction on SAMVA for an earthquake

in October 2006, I added the following statement:

" We have to wait until the summer of 2008 to see a more significant

test... "

Today, on May 29, 2008, a more significant earthquake has taken

place, as also predicted on April 29, 2008.

This development should remove any doubt about the chart and the

techniques used.

Best wishes,

Thor

graph showing the chart contacts at that time has been uploaded as

gif file in Photos section and SA Theory sub-section of the SAMVA web

page.

SAMVA

[Thor]

Dear Haresh ji,

Thanks for your advise. He is into business for the past 1.5 years

and that too in partnership. I heard that he is doing good. I tried

to check earlier also if only service is good for him, majority of

people advised him too the same. However some also told that business

would work for him.

The reason they give D10 is the chart which needs to be read for

profession/business. D10 Lagna Lord happens to be 6th lord and in 6th

house and 12th lord and also 7th lord is in 7th house. 10th Lord

Saturn is in 12th. I am not sure how to interpret all this. However I

want to help him by giving some clarity as he is planning many things

at this time.

Thanking you

NITISH
