I would also wish to mention that i found one old panchanga (not popular) , in telugu long back in a old library and surprisingly it is also mentioning that at that time Mars is in Aquarious (as mentioned by Nadi reader). But Mercury still in lagna (Gemini). Ofcourse all other popular local panchangas are matching with my traditional horoscope is. I would like to point ur attention to the informative paper i read at www.kerala.com/astrology/htm/Vakyakarana.doc It says in the abstract: ---Quote --- Sun, Moon and Mars are remarkably accurate but the positions of Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn are not very precise. ---UnQuote --- I did not understand the document , because i do not have any formal training / knowledge of astronomy / astrology. So if the above observation is near-truth, it could be possible that Mercury might have been in Lagna (gemini). In fact , after ur mail , to day i have checked the horoscopes for degrees and minutes Traditional Nadi Mercury 23 Ge 25'06 0° Cn 59' 35.7066 " Mars 26 Cp 48'47 3° Aq 6' 0.1445 " I found that they are off by roughly 7 degrees. So, if i can get an idea on what will be the result of the 2 questions i posed, i would be able to crosscheck with what i am , since i am already 36 years old and the combinations can be cross checked with the past. BTW, both the nadi readers have mentioned my parents name correctly (after some permutations). They have also pointed out that i have one sister. I consulted the first Nadi before Marriage and he said i will marry from the same community(which is true) and i consulted the second Nadi after the birth of my first daughter. They predicted one son and daughter which went wrong and i have 2 daughters. However apart from that the second Nadi reader predicted a possible divorce with in 2 years and the prediciton is 5 years old now and by God's grace it failed and we pray god for its failure forever Apart from the above , all thier predictions are very vague - from x years to y years it will be good / bad like that , which can not be verified quantitatively. I even consulted the 2nd nadi for 13/14 chapters - he told me that i have lot of miseries in store and i have to perform some puja and mantra japa (he mentioned that i have to do Kumara Shadakshari mantra, but refused to give the mantra). He said all the pariharas has to be done by his guru only in Tamilnadu and the details of Deity , Mantra, Cost etc should be disclosed only after i give him 1001/- and yellow cloths. I have not done any of them.
