They are many techniques for timing marriage like:

1) vimshottari dasa with d9 (kona to 7H - antardasa) COVA

2) vimshottari dasa with d9 (argala to 7L - antardasa) COVA (here are

also many Vimshottari things like Bhaya or Mahadasa-antar touching the

7L or 7H), in the udu dasa scheme there is also Tithi ashottari and A7

in D9 technique.

3) narayana dasa rasi asp by Ke/UL/Ve (here is also argala)

4) narayana bhaya rasi asp by Ke/Ve/UL (now if You connect this last

two, then You have many many dasas)

5) so now this can be narrowed down to next technique Dasa Pravesh

Chakra

6) now we have also Ashtakavarga presented by Amit

7) Tithi Pravesh & Solar Progression in D9 - the last one was

recomended so far

8) Prasna - this can be add to all the natal rules and can play role as

confirmer

of course there are many more like Sahams etc..

I read once opinion of Sanjayji about Narasimha - that the our

Narasimha never failed (only in timing marriage of His brother or

someone from family) to time marriage in his reading history..so please

kindly share experience with us which of these points are important and

many others You may know.

Dear Michal,

Severity as far as the burden of sin (8th Lord) and the Karma

of the soul (AK) is lacking and these are very good indications.

But the involvement of the Lagnesh indicates that the person

might have to experience the results of the Shrapa. Both the Lagnesh

and the AK indicate the involvement of the native. The AK is worse in

terms of suffering because the Soul itself is carrying the Karma and if

the Yoga will yield good results as the intention behind the act which

invited the curse was good. Some of these aspects have been studied in

my paper on the subject through case studies, where alternate methods

of computing the Dasha and the significance of the various permutations

and combinations of the cursed planet and those causing the curse are

noted. This might appear in the next issue of the Jyotish Digest and I

am hoping it will lead to more discussion so that greater understanding

may then ensue from the viewpoints of the learned scholars.

Dear Rafal, Amit Ji and learned members,

That is a very fine list compiled by Jyotish Guru Rafal Gendarz. I think it includes many methods of timing marriage as taught in SJC and discussed on the Lists.

I myself use Vimshottari and Narayan Dashas in Rashi and Navamsha but this is more because of habit. Sanjay Ji taught the A7 method in his paper which also clarified the usage of Arudha Pada in the Vargas. Tithi Pravesha Chakra should always be checked. A useful approach can be developed by carefully listening to PVR Narasimha Rao's lectures where he makes extensive use of this technique in predictions.

In the chart in question, my first priority would be for the native to commence Upaya. I have made some suggestions as to the timing of this potential marriage. I kept myself to suggestions as the Prashna and the Tithi Pravesha for the coming year indicate a conservative approach in this regard.

I agree with your views about Shani. Shani is also the lord of the relevant Upapada. It is also the Hora Lord in the TP for 2007, placed with Ketu in Upapada. It is the Vargottama Badhak. In Rashi, the Narayan Dasha of Meena would ordinarily have been very encouraging as Ketu is placed there and 'Ketu Kulastim Vardhanam'. But the results of Kanya Rashi will be felt. Rahu is the co-lord of the 2nd UL placed in the 8th therefrom and in the 7th from the AL.

Upon commencing Upaya, the native may have a clearer idea of these matters and as the situation improves, then specific timing may be studied. The transit of Guru in Dhanu Rashi will certainly help as it aspects the 2nd from this UL and would likely precipitate events in this direction. This is confirmed by the Hora Lord in the TP placed in UL in Rashi Chakra.

Even in the Vimshottari Dasha, Shani is the Lagna Lord in Navamsha and has obstructed Argala on Lagna. Saturn AD will also have unobstructed Argala on the 7th Lord. 27th April to June, 2008 appears to be a time for strong developments in this regard as Shani Tithi Ashtottari Dasha will be running. Shani is the lord of UL in TP Navamsha.

As I ventured in the initial writing on this chart, this area of life appears to be stressed and it would require propitiation for the auspicious effects to come.

Severity as far as the burden of sin (8th Lord) and the Karma of the soul (AK) is lacking and these are very good indications.

But the involvement of the Lagnesh indicates that the person might have to experience the results of the Shrapa. Both the Lagnesh and the AK indicate the involvement of the native. This might appear in the next issue of the Jyotish Digest and I am hoping it will lead to more discussion so that greater understanding may then ensue from the viewpoints of the learned scholars.

Dear Rafal,

I usually have a lot of unread mails in my mailbox. While searching in my mailbox for a chart request from last year to which I got inspiration today to reply, I chanced upon your mail. I am sorry for not replying earlier.

My rule is to keep it simple. I mainly use the applicable nakshatra dasa, Narayana dasa of navamsa and Tithi Pravesha chart. That's it. All other techniques are for demonstration purpose to students only and I do not trust them entirely. But I do trust nakshatra dasa, navamsa Narayana dasa and TA dasa with annual TP chart. The last one is my favorite.

The girl in question is at the end of Jupiter dasa. Jupiter is a functional malefic in rasi and in 12th from UL. In navamsa, he is in 6th. His dasa is not too exciting.

But Saturn is the 7th lord in UL in navamsa! In rasi too, he is the 9th/10th lord a yogakaraka. He is a functional benefic in the 2nd from UL. He is in 11th from Venus and aspects Venus. He is very likely to give marriage.

Look at Narayana dasa of rasi chart. Pisces dasa runs from Nov 2000 to Nov 2009. Pisces gives its results in the middle 1/3rd and lord Jupiter (in Ge - a seershodaya rasi) gives results in the middle 1/3rd and occupants/aspectors give results in the last 1/3rd. Jupiter, Ketu and Rahu is the order. So Ketu's turn is from Nov 2007 to Nov 2008. He is the 7th lord and in 9th from UL. He can give marriage.

Look at Narayana dasa of navamsa chart. Taurus dasa is running till Nov 2012. It contains 7th lord and UL. It is conducive. Venus is giving the result now. This is a conducive time.

Look at 2007-08 TP chart. In rasi, 7th lord Jupiter is in 6th. But he is at the fag end of 6th and about to enter 7th. He joins DK too. He is the ruler of the year. In navamsa, he is the UL lord and gives a raja yoga with lagna lord Mars. The 7th house contains 7th lord (and karaka!) Venus. DK is in 9th. I am very optimistic about this year.

Marriage is very very likely during Nov 2007-Nov 2008. Based on TA dasa, Jupiter, Mars and Venus are the strongest candidates. I particularly like Mars dasa (Jan-Feb 2008).

She should not give up hope and keep fasting on Mondays and pray to Lord Rama before breaking the fast after sunrise. I suggest that she should do the following mantras one mala each everyday:

(1) Om Sreem Hreem Kleem Glaum Gam Ganapataye Varavarada Sarva janam me vasamaanaya swaahaa (one mala)

(2) Sreeraama Raama Raama (3 malas)

(3) Om Namassivaayai cha namassivaaya (3 malas)

In addition, it will be good to read (or hear) "Aditya Hridayam" on every Sunday. Audio can be found on many sites (e.g. try prapatti.com).

If she does these things for the next 6-9 months, it will be good.

Somebody please convey this message to the lady in question. Also, please ask her to make a token donation (based on her ability) in my name (PVR Narasimha Rao) at a temple near her house.
