Guest guest
Namaste Guru Sanjay ji, I just cannot wait any longer to set my eyes on my copy of Jyotish Digest. And, I am sure, all members are eagerly looking forward to their copies, just like I am. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Dear Gurudev! I am compilining whatever I know about maranakaraka avastha from whatever you have taught. I am seeing my thinking process taking some definite shape. I will come up with an article with all possibilities and probably interpretation of Solai's and Lakshmi's chart wrt Marana Karaka avastha of planets in their charts. I hope we shall have a fruitful discussion, next weekend. For this matter I shall request both Solai and Lakshmi to give me a brief writeup about major events in life, I shall like to check influence of those planets duing different dasas antardasas and on the life as a whole. Also submit, a brief writeup on your general attitude towards life. Please give me details on whether you are taking some remedial measures as of now (for marana karaka planets or otherwise, such as mantras, stones or yantras). Thanks and regards to all Pranaam Sarajit > om gurave namah > ------------------------ > Dear Sarajit, > List the options - add Solai's chart and come to me for discussions next week. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Dear Sarajit, I am following the mails on Maranakaraka planets with great interest. My experience is a bit varied. I have Ven (that too Retro) in 6th both in Rasi & Navamsa. I am at the fag end of Ven dasa and the past 20 years has seen me progressing steadily (both materially & spiritually). Lagna being Sc, the VRY could be in play. The VRY is further strengthened due to association with a Deb Sat (3 / 4th lord). The Asc lord could also be acting like a saviour (forgive me, for my vague guessings ...I have a long way to go!)The major setback was the death of my mother in 1990 in Ven - Rahu - Rahu Vimsottari Dasa (Rahu afflicts Moon) OR Ven - Jup as per Asttotari. I am unable to attach the JHL file. The birth details, 19.03.69 / 23.55/74E32 /15N 52/ 5.30 time diff. Guest guest
Dear Sarajit - I must hasten to add that Ven is Yogada (so also Sat) and that may explain why it create havoc. Guest guest
Sarbani, Judy is really having problems with her youngest son (2nd child). I know you guys are busy, but I really need to hear from you. Even if it is a, " No we can't do Judy's reading & we are refunding her money " type answer, or " Yes we're trying to fit her into our schedule. " (I have the feeling that we've got some bad news and that we don't want to be the messenger. If so, is this the way we should handle it?) I had a reading by Hans Niggemann in the fall of 1974 (using the Uranian system, which I was studying at the time) in New York after my return from a month of Astrological conferences in Europe, in which he very subtly forecasted my mother's death. I didn't realize what he was saying to me until after she died two months later. My point being that I think there has got to be a better way of dealing with this (if it is bad news) than this 'cold shoulder approach'. If Sanjay cannot counsel Judy then is it me who needs counseling regarding this matter? Since I am the one who promoted this reading. Please, just some word. Hanging in limbo with no communications is not good for anyones' morale. I personally do not feel up to this task, but if that is what Sanjay recommends, then I will do my best. I remain ever the student of this heavenly knowledge. Guest guest
Dear Jim, For the past 7 days we were without internet connections. I connected to the net last night after a long gap and then again tonight. I wrote to you last night and I am repeating the same here: For whatever reasons, Judy misunderstood her appointment time 'thrice'. Thrice we waited for her and there were no shows. Hence Sanjay thought that perhaps the reading was not meant to be; at least that is what the nimittas were indicating. He has not studied her chart; nor are we aware that the reading was for her 2nd child. Sanjay is going to be in Boston again in the coming week and would be glad to see Judy in person (thats what he was angling for, but not pushing it, as whenever we did so, the appointment never worked out. Now this has never happened with anyone so far). We usually take the payment after a reading is completed, and not before. So to my knowledge Judy should not have paid. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Swee, Namaste A decent price for the Jyotish digest is R1008 for six issues – just kidding J Its so difficult to put a price on all those hours and research put in by the authors and journalists writing quality articles for the Digest. Unfortunately the market does however dictate the level at which a magazine enters the scene. The only other astrological magazine that we get here is the bi-monthly, The Mountain Astrologer which retails around R65 per issue (just under US$10) excl any postage. A good strategy to market the Digest, would be to add value and include something every month, like 5 sticks of hand rolled sandalwood Incense sticks offered to Lord Jagannath in Puri J - this is priceless. I think SJC should consider this to drive sales world-wide. My feeling on this is, as long as the intention is good, this will not be a gimmick. Imagine reading the Digest with the Lord’s blessings. Ok enough sales talk As you are aware, the study of Jyotish is still very new here in South Africa, but im sure we can start small. I also don’t want to think narrowly and concentrate on South Africa only, we should think broader – rest of Africa is there too for the Digest. I will most certainly market the Jyotish Digest at the conference in November (7 to 13 Nov). We have just struck a deal with a local publishing company and the largest esoteric wholesaler of esoteric books (Wizards) who have undertaken to distribute and buy-in all our conference speaker’s books. I will chat with them at our next meeting re SJC books and distributing the Digest. We have just hooked them up with Wessex books in UK, so are on very favourable terms with them. I have looked at various books on Jyotish and found many of them quite daunting and technical for the beginner. Please don’t get me wrong, Sanjay’s books are awesome. There is definitely a gap in the market for a good ‘coffee table’ or cookbook as they say on Jyotish. I think if someone in SJC could put something like this together it would be great at attracting a lot of beginners to SJC and Jyotish. Do you know of any good writers out there who have a flare for this – im no good with putting pen to paper, otherwise I would have done it. This book should be informative, colourful and well illustrated so as to attract the reader to this wonderful science. I have a concept in mind, so if anyone wants to run with it, please email me privately. Have a lovely day Best Wishes Bipin On Behalf Of Swee Chan Monday, June 20, 2005 4:19 PM RE: [Jaya Jagannatha] Jyotish Digest Jaya Jagannatha Dear Bipin, Namaste What’s a decent price for such magazines in RSA? Considering the amount of learning already available, I see no reason why some of SJC's sharing of knowledge cannot be repaid before we have to start begging people to ensure we can keep teaching without worrying about our bread. The Audio subscriptions for ALL the conference Audios plus handouts through SJC is a meager 25 US dollars. This is not too much to ask when you can still read all the high quality articles on sites of: Sanjay Rath, Freedom Cole, Sanjay Prabhakaran, Sarajit Poddar, Rafal Gendarz and many others for free on their websites! On my website (http://srigaruda. com) there are now 116 separate posts to learn from, being both articles and audios! and ALL for free! What to talk of those on Sanjay's, Sanjay P's, Freedom's, Sarajits and Rafal's websites? We are still teaching on this group and there are highly qualified members like Rafal Gendarz who diligently answer questions, so I'm not sure why you have made such a statement. From my experience people tend to ask for the world when its for free, but when it costs something they treat even the smallest drops as amrita. If you want some help, then why not ask some of the very generous members such as Raghunatha Nemani (raon1008 ), who even offered to sponsor free Jyotish Digest subscriptions to people. At least do that instead of offering such things like this.
