Despite significant affliction to Mercury in your wifes chart, your

Dear Visti, Can you kindly explain a bit about why you suggested this mantra for the native? I had read that the atmalinga mantras are used when there is a bandhan yoga. As far as I know a bandhana is caused by same number of planets in 2,12 or 3,11 or 5,9 houses either from lagna or AL. Also if AK or lagnesh connects to shani, mars or nodes it can create a feeling of bondage.In this case the lagnesh does not connect with with mars or shani or nodes although it has rasi dristi of all these planets. So was this mantra advised because of jup being with ketu? Also the lagna lord merc is retrograde and combust being at a lower degree frmo the sun. Hence can indiacte the wrath of Shivas thrid eye. Can remedies really work in such a case? Secondly this combination of rerto merc with sun and venus happens in second house from AL. Could this indicate wrong lifestyle leading to the

My entire focus was on the Badhakesh Jupiter, as reflected in the

reading. Arudha lagna is also there and therefore with Rahu in the

seventh therefrom can cause a problem in the stomach area. Jupiter is

afflicted and can specifically indicate liver problems.

My main concern was the atmakaraka and since the twelfth lord from it

is Jupiter itself under affliction, the atma-linga mantras were apt in

this case.

I did see the combustion of Mercury and also its navamsa position did

ignite my concern, but couldn't explain why they had difficulty in

diagnosing it. Hence Badhaka.

I'm not entirely sure that positions from AL show solely bad lifestyle,

but indeed lifestyle has to do with it.

So normally when the there is a problem which cant be really detected or looks weird in nature, like in this case diagnosis not happening, it can indicate involvement of badhakesh? agantuka (accidental) roga (disease). As a result disease causing

planets associated with the badhaka sthana or the badhakesha causes the

problem to be undetected or undiagnosed (adrshya).
