When Ishta Devta is also Badhakesh..what to do?

Respected Gurujis,

 

I would be thankful if anyone could help me with a native's chart

where the Badhakesh (Mercury=Lord Vishnu) also happens to be the Ishta

Devta? Since the native has started reciting the Vishnu Sahasranaam on

the Wednesday of Makar Sankranti, only bad things have happened. (fire

accident, mother in car accident, workplace problems)

 

Although, I am convinced that prayer to the Lord Maha Vishnu can never

yield bad results, I am worried about whether the native should keep

reciting the same prayer since Budh is currently retrograde? Does it

also signify that the native has to double/treble their efforts in

order for the Devta to give the native permission to pray to Him?
