Dear C Iyer

For Tula & Vrishba lagna only sani is yog karak. In tula lagna sani is yog

karak due to lordship of 4th & 5th house & in Vrishba lagna it is in 9th & 10th

house lordship.

[vedic astrology] saturn yogakaraka

Dear Gurujis,

I have a doubt. Is Saturn a yogakaraka for thula raasi people (i.e moon

in libra/thulam) or just it is yogakaraka for thula/libra ascendant(lagna)

people?

is it not applicable for thula raasi people i.e moon in thula. In some books

it's mentioned like that.

It would remain a yogakaraka for all three " ascendants " (Sudarshana Chakra). An

intriguing situation for the solar component of Sudarshana Chakra as you must

have noticed!

Dear Chandra

Generally for libra rasi, Saturn is yogakarka.

Moon in thula is good position for Job matters. Moon has lordship of one sign,

Cancer.

Saturn has lordship of powerful 4th and 5th house. So it is called yogakarka.

Yoga karka results will last for life time.

Hope you have a good Saturn.

Best wishes,

Dear Sir,

I was referring to the yogakaraka concept which is based on the arrangement of

rulerships from a sign/rashi and not so much on what it contains (orientation

factors).

Hope this clarifies your doubt,

Dear Mr. Iyer

Saturn is yogakaraka for Libra or Taurus people born with lagna therein or Moon

therein.

So if the lagna or moon is libra or Taurus Saturn becomes lord of quadrant and

trine and hence Saturn is the yogakaraka.  In fact for libra born people Saturn

becomes the only benefic, according Prof KS Krishnamurti.

Hi,

Is saturn yogakaraka for thula raashi people (Moon placed in Libra)?

Only if they get 'attuned' to and are loyal to and committed to living as a true

Libra!

Yogakaraka is not a birthright or a given, just because you happened to be born

in a certain lagna! That is what creates much anguish if you look around! You

have got to LIVE, EXPERIENCE and EXPRESS and be TRUE to that lagna! And it is

not always a given! Often there are options and other possibilities available.

The converse is true as well! If a planet is adverse to your birth lagna -- pick

another orientation planet and personal planet and really work at accepting and

experiencing that one!

Each of us born were given several options, as I am sure you must have figured

out through your profound study of Jyotish...

Good luck!

Shekar Ji, Namaskaar.

Allow me to share some of my understanding…

By definition, a Yogakaraka is taken as one who owns a Trine (Trikona) and a

Kendra (Quadrant) from the Ascendant (Lagna). If we go by this, we cannot

consider what you have written, unless the Moon is in the first house of the

Chart you are describing.

If, on the other hand, you wish to examine the owner of a Trikona and Kendra

from the moon, then the resultant planet (graha) will be Saturn (Shani).

Regards,

Nitin.
