Dr Raman & I belong to the traditional school which has the respect of the Guru at the top of its list of Karma. That is why when KN Rao was speaking ill of Dr Raman, he merely kept quiet knowing well that KNR is just destroying his own good karma as Dr Raman was more than a Guru for him. My interaction with Dr Raman was small. So long as he was alive, my only request was that the articles of mine published in the AM be " Autographed " by him. I knew that he would surely bless me, which he did while signing. Now, KP was a good Jyotish and a better Tantrik (few know of this). His success was miraculous and his contribution to Jyotish was minimal. He started the KP System that lacks a foundation. Dr Raman tried to say that the Horary stuff of KP was from the Nadi due to the books of Shri Meena thereby trying to give some credence to that system, but this was not accepted as the 108 Number system was too popular. This had the backing of the great Krishna worshipper Mukunda Daivagya and a very strong Astro-Spiritual foundation. Prasna ultimately depends on the Lord for an answer and without the spiritual aspect becomes meaningless. Sometimes people stoop to very low levels to get the power to answer prasna. These can be in the form of Black Magic like Ucchista Chandali puja or Planchet and spirit (Bhoota Siddhi). Others are at a rajasik level like Ucchista Ganapati or Surya's Tantra. We stick to Jagannatha and leave it to the Lord to decide when to give an answer.
