Guest guest
Dear Mr.Narasimha Rao, Thank you for your reply. Then, what is right and what Iyanamsah should be used. Because, I want to know the position of Rahu in my chart. My Birth details - 21st November 1964, at 1.30PM, Ramanathpuram, Tamil Nadu 78E50, 9N23. Thanks Solai Narasimha Rao [pvr] Tuesday, May 09, 2000 5:54 PM varahamihira [Jaya Jagannath] Re: Rahu calculation in JHL Dear Solai, JHLite uses mean nodes, which are always strictly retrograde. I first thought that the discrepancy is due to the other panchangam using " true nodes " (which are not strictly retrograde). But that's not it. I get July 13, 2000 as the date of Rahu's Gemini transit with mean nodes and Fagan ayanamsa. If someone uses Fagan ayanamsa (which is close to the self- proclaimed " Rahu-Sikhi " prophet Chandra Hari's Moola ayanamsa), then one would get July 13 as the transit date. The default of JHLite is Chitrapaksha ayanamsa. Please verify the ayanamsa used by your panchangam and Sri Rajagopalan. Guest guest
Dear Mr.Narasimha Rao, I checked the Panjankam, there is no detail about the type of ayanamsam used by them. But, They mentioned ayanamsam starting for the new Tamil New year is 23:44. Moreover, their degrees are matching with JHL for all planets except for Rahu at Lahri Ayanamsam of JHL. Please, clarify.
