Dear Zoran and other jyotisha,

From your example, I would use the Ketu rulership of 9th house Scorpio.

Ketu is stronger than Mars as it is with two planets and Mars is alone.

(even if Sun is there) Ketu is a female offspring and it is in a female

sign.

I still have a couple of questions from Sanjay ji's example: Case

Study no. 2

In rasi shouldn't the fifth lord be not debilitated Mars but the stronger

Ketu in Capricorn? You say " 5th lord in debility gains seven amsas. " Ketu

gains seven amsas but is not debilitated. Then in saptamsa you say 9th lord

Jupiter conjoins debilitated Rahu, so Rahu is in Sagittarius. But if the

nodes are in Cancer-Capricorn there would not be a female factor in the 9th

house. So perhaps they are, also in rashi.

Dear Sat Siri,

Thank you for drawing my attention to this.

In the chart I mentioned, the solid explanation for

a daughter birth could be ketu, who is indeed

stronger than mars. Ketu is in conjunction with guru,

that would normaly give the son birth, however ketu

(female ) would be debilitated in taurus, thus a feminine

influence predominates, having in mind what Sanjay said

that the lord exalted/debilitated predominates conjunciton.

Actually, can we take taurus/scorpio as rahu/ketu places

of exaltation/debilitation in determing the sex of a child?

With best regards,

Zoran

4.6 Timing the birth of Children

(a) Birth, of children takes place during the dasa of planets having Argala on Saptamsa Lagnesh.

(b) Individual children are predicted during the antardasa of the lord of the child, its depositor or the lords of the 3rd/8th from the Lagna (as mentioned earlier).

Jaya Jaya Jagannatha

Namasthe Gurudeva Sanjay,

The above given 3rd/8th, actually 3rd and 8th or 5th and 8th?

Hare Krishna

Your Sishya

Karu

In case of a conflict between the indications of the saptamsa of expectant father and mother, the results should be predicted from the male horoscope(This rule has also been proved by genetics wherein it is an established fact that the sex chromosomes are only determined by the male)

Dear Sat Siri Kaur,

Thank you for your reply. Well the confusion arouse, due to 9.house

lord ketu(stronger) is placed in taurus in conjunction with Jupiter, male.

Sanjay suggested to give preference to conjunction to signs. So the

confusion. Also in the concerned saptamsa, there is parivarthan of

lagnesh with venus, so this might hold the key. If we take 9.house from

paka lagna in saptamsha, then 9.house(reverse count) will hold saturn in

makara, giving a female child. Lagna in daughter's chart is kumba with

saturn in lagna. I wanted to know whether this procedure is allowed?

Thanks,

Zoran
