Guest guest
Dear Gurdev, My answers to the assignment are as follows: 1.Why do the five planets have lordship of two houses whereas the luminaries have ownership of one house only? The luminaries represent Atma and Mind. Atma is that entity that cannot be divided, that does not get wet in water, that does not burn in fire, that cannot be created, that cannot be destroyed. It just changes from one form to another. (This is also the basis of the law of conservation of matter and energy). Thus Sun the ruler of Atma, the principal source of energy, lords only a single position, the sign of Leo. Mind is the seat of thought in any living being. Having two or multiple seats of thought leads to schizoprenia, a very complex mental disorder. In order to support life for long periods, it is very essential for a being to have only a single directing force in his life time and that comes from a single mind governed by moon. Thus Moon too lords only a single sign, the watery Cancer. 2.Determine the ayana of the planets in the horoscope of a native born on 7th August 1963 at 9:15 PM IST at 21N28, 84E01 (Sambalpur India) The planets Venus, Sun, Rahu, Jupiter and Moon are in Uttarayana. The planets Mercury, Mars, Ketu, Saturn are in Dakshinayana. However, I am not clear why JHL is throwing up different hora positions. What have I calculated wrongly? 3.Determine the Ayana of the Moon in your horoscope and also the days after your birth when the Moon changed the ayana. My birth details are 9th Dec 1972, 2245 hours, Bombay, India. The moon is at 6 degrees in Capricorn and thus is in Dakshinayana, Sun's hora. It took moom another 21 hours and 15 minutes to move into uttrayana. 4.Attempt to explain the Mantra given inside the Bha Chakra. Can't get any answers to that. 5.Derive the order of the weekdays from the order of the seven Dwipa. Is there any correlation between the speed of the planets and the seven Hora’s? Since there are 7 prime grahas, we have 7 days of the week. The centre of everything is the Atma and thus the first day is attributed to the Surya dweepa and we have Sunday. The next most important element is Moon and thus attribute to Chandra dweepa and we have Monday. Then the dweepas alternate between those after the Sun dweepa and those after Chandra Dweepa. Thus after Monday, we have a day named after Mangal dweepa followed by a dweepa after Chandra dweepa, thus Budha dweepa. The next dweepa after the surya dweepa but also after Mangal dweepa is the Guru Dweepa, and we have thursday. The next dweepa after the Chandra dweepa but also after the Budha dweepa is the Shukra dweepa and we have friday. Finally only a single dweepa is left, that is shani dweepa and we have saturday. Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Gurudeva, Pranaams. > Dear Gauranga, > > > 4.. Could You give the roman > > transliteration? > > In the picture Guru_Chakra.jpg, the script from the top left > corner in clockwise direction reads OM, hauM, juM, saH I cannot really add to the explanations already given on this mantra, but as no one tried the other one, I will try to give a few words on that. > In the picture Surya_Chakra.jpg, the script from the top in > counter-clockwise direction reads OM, hriiM, shriiM, kliiM Om is the bija mantra for Vishnu, containing three syllables (A- Brahma; U-Vishnu; M-Shiva) Hrim is the bija for Durga, but sometimes also used for Narasimha, this bija gives protection. Shrim is the bija for Laxmidevi, consort of Vishnu. It may also be used for Radha or Sita Klim is the kama-bija, and is for Krishna, the source of all incarnations.
