Guest guest
Jai Jai Sri Jagannath !!!! Dear Rajaram, I am very sorry for the belated reply. I have been wanting to reply to this but somehow been missing it. I made it a point to do so today. Also, I have sent a separate mail while replying to Supriti. I expect your reply on how you all (individually) prefer to do it. By the way, why are you very silent on the list. I hope you are watching the list closely and are busy reading. Can you send or re-send me if you have already done so (as I download mails in my office too, some mails remain there) the replies that you may have attempted at the end of the lessons you have downloaded and studied. Coming to the current query: >>In 'COVA'- chapter 12 regarding ninth house - page 394, Sanjayji has mentioned that if Venus is in the seventh house, then the remedy(to prevent multiple marriage) is for marrying the same person twice.<< Venus is the naisargika Kalatrakaraka and signifies desires or Iha Loka Sukha or the pleasures of this material world. When it goes to the 7th which is the natural house of kama or desire, it turns out to sometimes make the person lustful. Hence the factor of multiple marriages. However, it need always be so. There are other factors that could curb this. >> I wanted to know whether this remedy is only to remove the ill - effects of venus in seventh or it removes all other ill effects(regarding first marriage) in the chart.<< The best way you can remove all the ill effects of Venus or any other planet or, for that matter, the ill effects of 7th house itslef, is by a sincere prayer to Lord Shiva with his Sadakshari mantra - OM NAMAH SHIVAYA. This will remove all the shadripus (the six weaknesses) and bless the person with good contentful life. The 7th house indicates the animal instincts of the person. A prayer to Lord Shiva will curb and nip away this instinct and help us elevate in life. This will also explain the ill effect of Venus referred to above by you. >>1. Arudha lagna and Darapada in shastastaka position.<< Darapada is the Arudha pada of the 7th house which is seen mainly for physical relationships and other relationships. Sashtashtaka of Arudhapada and Darapada is not very bad in the sense of marriage. Nevertheless, even this is not good as physical compatibility would be difficult, or, relationship with others may undergo strain. A mutual trinal relationship between the Arudhalagna (represents Vishnu as Mayapati) and the Darapada (represents Maha Lakshmi) indicates the blessings of both Sri Vishnu and Sri Mahalakshmi to the person. For Marital blessings, Upapada is mainly to be seen. Just follow a reply I have given to a query from Sri Yashomatinanadana Prabhu and you will understand this. If you still have doubts, please do not hesitate in asking me. >>2.Debiliated sixth lord(sickness, litigation) Jupiter and Eleventh lord Venus conjoined in the seventh house.<< They do affect the 7th but they do not spoil it. Debilitated 6th lord is in a way ok as he does not spoil things badly as he is weak. By going to the 7th he is bad for your enemies as the 7th is the marakasthana for an enemy. 11th lord over there means more - he gives you gains from such situations. These could come through after marriage and spouse will be important for this. This could also make you and spouse very service oriented. There are poisitives too. >>3. Venus and seventh house are under papakartari yoga.<< This is not good. Will see your chart properly and then suggest some remedy. Do remind me to do so even if I miss it. >>4. Second lord from Upapada 'Mars' is conjoined with Rahu in the sixth house(sagittarius). - is this indicate death of spouse due to accidents? - please pardon(and correct) me if I am jumping into conclusion.<< No. You are stretching the rules. Planets in the 2nd from Upapada influence/indicate troubles in or during or after marriage according to significance. The only other way (although weak) it could trouble is by way of rasi drishti. However, this needs to be seen closely with D-9 also and then conculded. Do not conclude just by the superficial things. >>5. Seventh lord Saturn in badhaksthana Eleventh house (argala on seventh house - separation/destruction of spouse)<< This again is a little stretchy. Wife could sometimes act as a spoil sport - she could be acting the badhak some times. >>So my question is if I marry the same person twice(Venus is seventh), what will be the result? Considering the above negative points are for first marriage.<< Hope you will be reconsidering this proposal by now. Examine more thoroughly and write to me. I am ever ready to help you understand yourself. May Lord Jagannath Bless You!! Warm regards, Sarat. - Rajaram Pai varahamihira Sunday, September 10, 2000 10:22 AM [sri Guru] Venus in Seventh : Marry the same person twice Hare Rama KrishnaPranaams In 'COVA'- chapter 12 regarding ninth house - page 394, Sanjayji has mentioned that if Venus is in the seventh house, then the remedy(to prevent multiple marriage) is for marrying the same person twice. I wanted to know whether this remedy is only to remove the ill - effects of venus in seventh or it removes all other ill effects(regarding first marriage) in the chart. I have Venus in Seventh. And in my chart I have all sorts of negative points regarding first marriage: 1. Arudha lagna and Darapada in shastastaka position. 2.Debiliated sixth lord(sickness, litigation) Jupiter and Eleventh lord Venus conjoined in the seventh house. 3. Venus and seventh house are under papakartari yoga. 4. Second lord from Upapada 'Mars' is conjoined with Rahu in the sixth house(sagittarius). - is this indicate death of spouse due to accidents? - please pardon(and correct) me if I am jumping into conclusion. 5. Seventh lord Saturn in badhaksthana Eleventh house (argala on seventh house - separation/destruction of spouse) So my question is if I marry the same person twice(Venus is seventh), what will be the result? Considering the above negative points are for first marriage. Guest guest
Jai Jai Sri Jagannath !!! Hare Rama Krishna !!! Dear Anantarupa prabhu, > If someone has an afflicted 7th house, how many times should he or > she chant the mantra OM NAMAH SHIVAYA.? What do you recommend: > 108 times a day? Should the mantra be chanted for a specific period of time > or permanently or only during the dasha of the planet afflicting the 7th > house? As you know, the 7th house shows our kama or desires (loosely translated in English). The 7th is the other Satyapeetha and is also the descendant. This where Lord Shiva sits (as does Sri Brahma on the Lagna) and He bestows fulfilment of desires - " SHIVOTI DE KALYANAM " meaning Shiva blesses fulfilment in life. The fulfilment of all desires is to be seen from the 7th house. The 7th house is a very vital house - it is fourth from the 4th and is the tenth to the 10th house. Thus, it becomes the controlling house of these two houses. Moreover, as taught by Maharishi Parasara, the 7th is the second most powerful kendra after the 10th. A person with a strong 7th house will have the ability to not only fulfill his own desires, but the desires of the world or all around him. Therefore, an affliction of the 7th house is undesirable. An afflicted 7th could, thus, show up the base instincts of the person - the carnal desires which is not good for development. Lord Shiva, as the scriptures say, was the perfect Brahmacharya. Therefore, a sincere prayer to him will remove all the evils and afflictions of the 7th house. Besides, a sincere prayer to Lord Shiva with the Shadakshari mantra (six syllabled) OM NAMAH SHIVAYA helps in removing the weaknesses arising out of the shadripus. Therefore, a regular and permanent japa (at the very minimum 108 times) is the most ideal. The next alternative is the japa could be done during the duration of the planet afflicting the 7th.
