Sun dasa was running then. Sun is in the 7th house in rasi chart. He owns and aspects UL and aspects lagna also in navamsa, in addition to being in the 7th house in rasi chart. I always wondered why he wasn't active at the time of my marriage. For antardasas, I assumed that we have to take only one cycle like in Yogini dasa. So I divided each of the 27 dasas into 9 antardasas in the usual manner. Is that right? Antardasa at the time of wedding belongs to Rahu. Rahu antardasa runs till Nov 7, 1993. It makes no sense honestly. But, if I take 360-day savana years used in varsha bala of Shadbalas (instead of solar years), then Jupiter antardasa starts 20 days before my wedding. Jupiter is the 7th lord in rasi chart. In navamsa, he and 7th lord Mars are together in Sg (in the 7th from Venus!). Antardasa as per standard Vimsottari dasa also belongs to Jupiter then. That makes more sense. Previous Venus dasa gave all-round success. I stood first in my state in higher secondary exams with a record score and went to IIT, Madras for engineering studies. I was in 1st/2nd ranks in my class at IIT. I later went to US for masters. With Venus being the only functional benefic (9th lord), his dasa was excellent. Being the 9th lord, he gave foreign stay also. Earlier, Mercury dasa during 8 years to 13 years age gave me some early learning. Mercury is lagna lord in 8th, giving knowledge of various subjects. In D-24, he is lagna lord in 5th (scholarship). During Mercury dasa, I passed two examinations equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Sanskrit and an exam equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Hindi. I learnt chhandas and used to write metered poetry in 3 languages at that young age. I won a lot of prizes in elocution and debate competitions. During these 5 years of my life, I learnt a lot in various subjects. Questions: When do you prefer standard Vimsottari and when do you prefer Tribhagi? Can we find Tribhagi variation of Utpanna, Kshema and Aadhaana Vimsottari dasas? During 2006-2011, Jupiter dasa of 2nd cycle will come. Can I expect Jupiter to give the full results of being in 2nd in rasi and in 10th (Pi!) in D-24? Your sishya, Narasimha
Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Narasimha, Pranaams. Did you deliberate on including the Tribhagi option for Vimsottari and other dasa systems in JH? I could calculate the first Tribhaga with the help of the Swearing-in mode, but it won't work for the further two. Guest guest
Namaste Gauranga, > Dear Narasimha, > Pranaams. > Did you deliberate on including the Tribhagi option for > Vimsottari and other dasa systems in JH? I not only deliberated, but added it. In the next release to Gurus, you will find the Tribhagi variation of all nakshatra dasas. The calculations given for my chart in a previous post were made by JH, as one may have figured out. If I do them manually and find the dates and times of start/end of all the 27 dasas, it will take too long. Note: JH still doesn't have the capability of copying text. I captured the text from the graphical screen using a free utility. > I could calculate the first Tribhaga with the help of the > Swearing-in mode, but it won't work for the further two. That's creative! But it won't be needed later. > Yours, > Gauranga Das Vedic Astrologer May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
Shree Ganeshaya namah Pranaam Sanjay, I tried to calculate my Tribhaga Dasa for both my Janam Nakashatra and my Utpanna Nakashatra to experiment. My Utpanna nakshatra is stronger with 5 planets in its Quadrants( Sun,Merc,Mars Ketu & Rahu) Janma Nakshatra is Rohini 4th Pada Utpana Nakshatra is Ashlesha Event 1: Birth of Younger Sister 1 Sep 1974 As per Janma Tribhagi dasa Rahu 1974-Jan-2 Rahu Jupiter 1978-Apr-21 Rahu Co-Lord of 3rd house is Drekkana conjunct Mars (Naisargika Bhratru Karaka) As Per Utpanna Nakshatra Tribhaga Dasa Venus 1974-Feb-3 Venus Sun 1978-Nov-27 Venus 3rd lord in 11th in Rasi Venus in 3rd house in Drekkana Event 2: First Foriegn Travel to America on 15-Aug-1996 As per Janma Tribhagi dasa Mercury Rahu 1996-Jul-2 Mercury Jupiter 1996-Oct-14 Mercury conjunct Jalapatna Saham (Scorpio) Lord Ketu in rasi ??? (not convinsing) As Per Utpanna Nakshatra Tribhaga Dasa Jupiter 1994-Jun-4 Jupiter Saturn 1998-Mar-21 Jupiter in Jalapatna Saham house ?? It looks as though the Antardasas of tribhaga dasa are not very effective and tribhaga's main dasa is kind of overall indications please tell me if i am write. Can I Use the three reference (Lagna,Moon,Sun) scheme if the antardasa and pratyantar dasa are used. Does for me, utpanna nakshatra indicate more results and Janma nakshatra indicate only what i think. as former is more stronger?. Regarding the last lesson of Nakshatra I am still confused with my Lagna Nakshatra and consequently the Navamsa lagna can you please help me determine my Navamsa rasi? I will write another mail for that question in a seperate mail. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Narasimha, You are like Vamana Deva. I give you one feet and you measure the earth! This is what I was waiting to see. Nice that you have worked out everything so hard and are giving a clear feedback with a very relevant question about antardasa. A small hint at this stage: Unlike the normal Vimsottari dasa that covers only one-third of the Bha-chakra (120 Degrees) the tribhaga dasa actually covers the zodiac with each and every nakshatra contributing its period to cover the full life span of 120 years. Guest guest
Pranaam Sanjay, Thank you for your blessings! I wondered why we only had Tribhagi and wanted to experiment with Dwabhagi, Chatur-bhagi etc. Now it is clear!! My Moon is in Poorvabhadra. So the first Sun dasa basically belongs to Krittika containing moolatrikona Mars. During my Moon dasa (1994-1998), I went abroad again and I became very spiritual. I also concentrated on astrology then. This was a very important dasa in my astrology studies. Apart from Moon being in 12th in D-4, was Rohini being in 9th a reason for my going abroad in Moon's (Rohini's) dasa? I earlier could not explain why Moon's Tribhagi Vimsottari dasa gave me a lot of astrological knowledge. I thought it was because Moon was in D-24 lagna. But I wasn't satisfied. With the new insight about 360 deg, a new thing occurs to me. Does it have to do with the aspect of Jupiter (in Swathi) and Mercury & Venus (in Aswini) on Rohini in my natal Sarvatobhadra chakra?? Did the influence of three benefics (in 2nd/8th!)n Rohini give me astrological knowledge in Rohini's dasa? Will I have to use Hasta's placement in Sarvatobhadra chakra and Rasi chakra when seeing the results of second Moon dasa? About antardasas, I am still unclear. If dasas cover all the 27 nakshatras, why can't antardasas do so? But in Yogini dasa's default Tribhagi variation, we use only 8 antardasas. Guest guest
Pranaam Sanjay, It just struck to me that Moon is AK and the 11th lord in my rasi chart. You taught that 11th is the 4th (learning) from 8th (occult subjects) and so links between AK and 11th make one an astrologer. So Moon may very well give astrological knowledge in his dasa. It actually makes sense. I was wrong in saying it doesn't. But is there any merit in the other point using Rohini and aspects on it by Mercury, Jupiter and Venus in Sarvatobhadra chakra? Can we use the nakshatra corresponding to Tribhagi dasa and see it in nakshatra chakra (Sarvatobhadra)? Your sishya, Narasimha > I earlier could not explain why Moon's Tribhagi Vimsottari > dasa gave me a lot of astrological knowledge. I thought it > was because Moon was in D-24 lagna. Guest guest
My dear brother, You wrote that in your natal sarvatobhadra chakram, Jupiter in Swati and Mercury, Venus in Aswini aspect Rohini. In page 11 of Crux of Vedic Astrology, Sanjay writes (second para): “The aspect of the planets is considered from the star (constellation) where they are stationed. The Sun aspects 14th & 15th star, Moon 14 th & 15 th star. Mars 1 st, 3 rd, 7 th, 8 th and 15 th star, Mercury 1 st & 15 th star, Jupiter 10 th, 15 th & 19 th stars, Venus 1 st & 15 th stars, Saturn 3 rd, 5 th, 15 th and 19 th stars. The aspect of natural benefics produces good results while that of malefics obstructs and causes problems.” Now, for Jupiter is in Swati. From swati, Dhanishtha is 10 th star. Aswini is 15 th star and Mirga is 19 th star. So, how does Jupiter aspect Rohini for you? (While counting, I am considering Abhijit also – even if I do not consider, the 10 th, 15 th and 19 th stars from Swati become Satabhish, Bharani and Aardra). Can you please clarify.
