Unfortunately, my friend, the day you KNOW the TRUE answer for the same

is the day you are LIBERATED from any of their influences. If your

question is WHAT/HOW of the influence instead of WHY then you are in

the right forums

It seems like if the notions of physical, astral and subtle bodies are

assumed to be true, then things fit the intellect better. i.e. stars

have large and powerful astral bodies (and distance does not matter)

that influence our astral bodies which are of course tied to our

physical bodies. Atleast one holy person has told me that these

notions are true. Apparently, also, nature has a defence mechanism

built-in. i.e. a belief that they exist, as well as all the body of

theory surrounding it, such as the theory of karma, are necessary in

order to experience them. (else they can be misued) Apparently, the

ancients could journey far away places in less than the blink of any

eye with their astral bodies (probably as explained in yogananda's

autobiography of a yogi).
