Guest guest
|| Sri Gurave Namah || Dear Olusanya, that I am using Vimsottari dasa. At this point it was pointed out tome that when using Vimsottari I shouldn't be using the Chara Karakas unless I am using a Jaimini dasa because I would be mixing systems. Inreading the BPHS [chapter 32] Parasara speaks about the Chara Karakasbefore mentioning the Constant Karakatwas, and it is my understanding that Parasara preferred the Vimsottari dasa. Can the experienced Jyotis please clear this matter up for me?I have read where Jaimini is considered a sub-system of Parasara'ssystem, but I also realize there are learned Astrologers who disagree with that viewpoint.Shiould I, in fact, be using the Chara dasa or another dasa system? If we cannot use one with the other why does Parasara mention theChara Karakas without clarifying when they can or cannot be used? All help with this matter will be greatly appreciated? Yes Your thinking is accurate, Sage Parashara, Jaimini etc all speak about the same Jyotish. You can use Vimshottari dasa and Chara Kaaraka. Follow the BPHS whenever in doubt. For example, Dasa of Atmakaaraka will be very soul searching for the individual, Dasa of Gnati kaaraka will be very good for the native as one's oppositions and society (indicated by Gnaati(Relatives) kaaraka/6th house soul kaaraka) will be turning very soul searching and hence favourable. This Gnaati kaaraka dasa can put one in society of soul searching relatives which is very good. Try to differentiate between the roles followed by graha as three fold, Hence they get three kaarakatwa's Chara kaaraka, Naisargika and Sthira. Respectively ruled by Vishnu, Brahma and shiva. Read Pt. Sanjay Rath's and PVR Narasimha's Books, who have tried to explain these subtleties. Warm Regards. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay, Hari Om, Thank you for your clarification. I will be purchasing Sanjay Rath and PVR Narasimha's books as soon as I can, for now the BPHS remains my main source of Jyotish information, along with the wealth of information on the SJC site and all of it's affiliates. bahu dhanyavAdAH, Namaste, olusanya On 2/14/06, Sanjay Prabhakaran <sanjaychettiar wrote: > || Sri Gurave Namah || > Dear Olusanya, > > > that I am using Vimsottari dasa.
