Guest guest
|om| Dear Sanjay, pranaams. That day when we met in Delhi, you were explaining to me how to identify the devirupa from Venus in different signs. Can you please guide me on this? Won't Venus in Kanya rasi represent Annapurneswari as Kanya rasi is the granary...? regards Hari

Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna My understanding is that Venus in the signs of sattvic lords (Sun, Moon and Jupiter) give us Annapurna rupa because one prays to Venus/Jala tattva for sustenance with pure gratitude, in a state of happiness for what one has (sama). When Venus falls in the signs of the rajas planets it takes to the form of Laksmi because people will tend to worship Jala tattva for prosperity, wealth, and material gains of business and love. In the signs of tamas grahas prasna marga says the person worships yakshas. Parashara tells us when Venus is 12th from AK in a tamas sign that the person worships lower spirits. This is because Venus in a tamas signs shows itself as prayers to jala tattva for base pleasures and fulfillment of petty instinctual desires. In the Achyuta tradition, we worship Radha for Venus in tamo sign to remove this base tendency. From experience (as we discussed at our meeting), Prasna Marga is right on the dot but the " why " is bothering me. regards Hari On 4/20/06, Sarbani Sarkar <sarbani wrote: Shri Brahmadaru Smarami Dear Hari, Can't help butting in with one comment: Prashna Marga says Venus in Cancer is Annapurneshwari... Guest guest
|om| Freedom, that is pretty interesting. You could be right about the tri-guna influence on the devirupa but unless I am mistaken, Sanjay explained to me that Venus in brahmin signs signifies Annapoorna rupa. Hence I asked the question in order to understand more about this. regards Hari |namah shivaaya| On 4/21/06, freeflowaum <freeflowaum wrote: Hare Rama Krsna My understanding is that Venus in the signs of sattvic lords (Sun, Moon and Jupiter) give us Annapurna rupa because one prays to Venus/Jala tattva for sustenance with pure gratitude, in a state of happiness for what one has (sama). Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Hari, freedom and Sarbani, I feel that Venus in Vrishabha indicate Annapoorna Devi, since it's the natural house of sustenance, an earth sign, indicates pastoral & cultivated fields and where Moon, the karaka for sustenance, is exalted. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krsna Please refer to Prasna Marga chapter on afflictions due to deity verse seven to see HariHara’s statement and see “Vedic Remedies in Astrology” p.47 for Guruji’s commentary on this. What I have written is only an elaboration based on these sources and karakamsa chapter of BPHS.
