Guest guest
Not really but I think that planet is also regarded a yogi, virtually. Should astro pangs ever gnaw at me again (unlikely), one of the first things I'll do is go figure why the addition of these 28 and 56 nakshatra pada widths is recommended; surely more to it than just the math! And why the addition of the Sun's and Moon's longitudes to look at prosperity... ! Cheers, Ramapriya ayirpamar On 5/7/05, vishwanatham <vishwanatham wrote: Hi Ramapriya,Thanks for the info. Guest guest
Dear Ramapriya The yogi and avayogi points are calculated basing upon the base figure of 93 20 Minutes of the Zodiac which corresponds to the Psuhyami Star of the Karka rasi. Now this is most auspicous point of the zodiac as it corresponds to the Exaltation point of Jupiter and also the Hridaya Chakra of Mahavishnu, Sun is the Atma-is the beginner(Saravali) Moon the sustainer-the experience(Saravali again). Now the Yoga between these two is akin to Shiva and Parvati which fulfills the cycle and helps the desire to take shape. Thus yogi points are calculated based upon " Jupiter-the all pervading Brahman " and sun and Moon. The Hard Disk, the ROM and and the RAM. best wishes partha On 5/7/05, Ramapriya D <ayirpamar wrote: Not really but I think that planet is also regarded a yogi, virtually. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Suryaviswanadham and Ramapriya, Namaste We should base Jataka on 27 nakshatras and a muhurata on the expanse of the 28 nakshatras. If Saturn is a yogi planet, and it is a functional malefic in one’s chart in a dagdha rasi, expect auspicious results. BUT this will also be within the bounds of the Birth Yoga. If the birth yoga is in an auspicious yoga, expect auspicious results. Let’s see a comparative this way: For a Bad Yoga: If a beggar manages to get 3 square meals in a Yogi day, it IS a raja yoga for him; For An Auspicious Yoga: likewise, if a well-to-do person gets an auspicious yoga, his income is certainly bountiful! This article of mine is long over due and I shall write this in as much detail as I possibly can with extracts from Narada Samhita, Muhurata (BV Raman) and Seshadri Iyer’s books. Sorry for the late reply as I am pretty caught up in a yagna prep right now. Thank you for your patience. Love, Swee On Behalf Of Ramapriya D Friday, May 06, 2005 3:17 PM Re: [Jaya Jagannatha] Yogi & Avayogi planets, Nakshatras Hi Vishwanatham, Swee will ravish her charms, but here's my 0.02 on this anyway... Add the expanse of 28 nakshatra padas (one for each star, Abhijit included) to the sum of Sun's and Moon's longitudes. The owner of the nakshatra in which this point falls is the yogi, with the owner of the sign the duplicate yogi. From this point, if you add 56 nakshatra pada widths, you get the avayogi. If there's a duplicate avayogi, I haven't heard of it. Since nadi shastras use these points to ascertain material prosperity more than anything else, I'd say Saturn's transits can't do prospects much good, unless the nakshatra lord is a great friend of Saturn, with Saturn itself a functional benefic for the native. Also, if the yogi & avayogi nakshatras are used in anyway, say to see when Sat transits over them. i am interested in what you follow, because i have come across different pairs suggested by different people! Thanks & regards Suryaviswanadham
