Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Ashish, Namaste Thank you for the picture. Phew, I spent long enough looking for it. Denise, it is banded agate of the quartzite family. Black is akin to Rahu and the band in the middle, I would akin it to Venus. Petrified minerals, I would expect. Gaurav, what do you think? Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Gaurav, Namaste Good that we concur. Agate, I guess, falls under the silicates? Sphatik, amethyst etc all fall under the same category. I shall look in the reference in GP where it states something like that (after my meditation yesterday, I am impelled to look up that particular reference). There’s streaks of a rust colour there and that has roused my interest…. Unfortunately, I am hoping to finish the mini write up on Rudraksha by tonight as I am going out of town from tomorrow morning. I shall leave the jpg for Richard to do. Guest guest
|| hare rama krishna || Namaste Swee ji, Agate and silicates? arent they much denser than that....now quartz are a better representation for silicate structures. The coloring in this stone is indeed interesting...but I am always fascinated ( perhaps on account of my complete lack of knowledge) with stones that combine two planetary effects like this one...or a pinkish pearl as oppose to a brownish pearl or a yellow or brown diamond...you know what i am saying....one of these days you will enlighten us with that, we hope. namaste gaurav Jaya Jagannatha Dear Gaurav, Namaste Good that we concur.
