Dear Richard,

Namaste

This is what I extracted from the Purana (and NOT from Zambia - <BIG GRIN>)

which is published in the Jyotish Digest.

Saturn’s yantra is in the figure of a person with black powder and worship is

with black sandalwood, flowers, pieces of black cloth and charities are, iron,

oil cakes, sesame, a black cow and a Blue Sapphire.

Saturn is inimical in Ar, Cn, Le, Sc, Sg.

O Sun’s son, O glorious One.

O son of ChÄyÄ, O You very mighty One,

O you with the downward look,

O Çani, be pleased by means of these presents.

The procedure of worship is the same in the case of RÄhu, though the circular

yantra should be that of Sun., and gifts to a brÄhmaëa (purohit) are gold,

gomedha, mustard, sesame seeds, black beans, a buffalo and a goat.)

In Ketu, the procedure of worship is the same as in Çani, though gifts should

be seven kinds of grains and gold.

Swee

[vedic astrology] Ratna Dana Vidhi: Gomeda to leper, Yellow Sapp to

Brahmin

>

> Without skirting the issue here, so what about the modern writings

from Mani

> Mala? Who is the author? Any luck yet?

---Dear Swee. I have a copy of Mani Mala. The Author/compiler of Mani

Mala is S.M. Tagore published in 1879.

According to information I gleaned, the favorite of Rahu is a leper,

and anyone giving Gomeda to a leper he or she pleases Lord Rahu. That's

my information. And it works.

Lets not get confused about " karma " - we have a predominince of either

happiness (caused by previous good karma), or we have predomenence of

unhappiness (caused by bad karma). No one can take karma from another

because everyone is living their own karma at all times. If I give

Gomeda to a leper, the favorite of Rahu, and my life gets better, than

every bit of this is also my karma. One cannot improve their karma

without their having the karma to do so.

And why the predjudice against lepers? That's no way to please Rahu.

That's bigotry against the less fortunate. (*like the joke about a big

black dude who walks into a bar with a parrot sitting on his shoulder;

the bartender looks up and says, " Hey, pretty cool! Where did you get

that? " To which the parrot replies, " Zambia! " ).

If everyone gave gems according to Ratna arpana vidhi, to associated

planetary favorite recepients, then the world would be a better place.

The main problem in that actually most people have no faith in the

Graha Devas personally nor in yajna nor ratna-dana. So pity the

faithless.

Best rgds,

Richard
