Guest guest
Namaste Sri VistiCan you cite some experiences where you have tried to raise the strength of Rasi through gemstones and not of the malefic grahas that the gemstone represent? Or point out a relevant article in Jyotish digest pointing out the same. If you remember, in a last thread when Yellow Sapphire was suggested for Rahu in Ninth, I had specified that Yellow Sapphire just does not suit me and causes many problems. Guest guest
Namaste Visti,In your case, Jupiter is a friend of lagna lord and a lord of trikona, so Yellow Sapphire is most likely to suit you. In my case, Rahu is in the 9th with Venus for Mithuna Lagna. Jupiter is in 5th house aspected by Mars (10th), Rahu (9th) and Saturn (11th house). Though I have many gemstones with me, I cannot wear Yellow Sapphire or Citrine. Major problems start almost immediately. I usually take white sapphire for Venus and it is likely to strengthen the Rasis Taurus and Libra, instead of Pisces, apart from the graha itself. Can you pass on your birth details if you do not mind? My point is when a graha is a functional malefic and an enemy of Lagna lord, should we wear its gemstone? My thoughts and experience tells - No. Now, when I read your mail regarding Blue sapphire for uplifting Saturn for Aries lagna, I get this doubt. I am passing this message to Sohamsa as well as to Sri Swee.. and let us see what all have to say on this matter. I'd really like to hear Sanjayji's comments too. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha Dear Anuj, Namaste I cannot find time in my busy schedule (I am still traveling) to listen to Visti's talk on gemstones, so I only have the following to say: A Deity finds its abode in a perfect gem and this can be confirmed in Garuda Purana - so the statement that one cannot do wear the gemstone of AK or AmK bears no weight. The wearing of a Blue Sapphire or a Ruby requires one to be pure. Those that are not - the fallen in us who drink cola, tea, coffee and those who are not ready .............. The diamond is worn according to one's varna in men but NOT for women. The white sapphire Visti is wearing is for his 12th lord. Though a natural benefic, it's function according to his chart is to bring about losses and can place more importance to other matters depending on where the 7th. If you recall our discussion on Red Beryl/Rubellite or Pink/Red Tourmaline, I had a query from an accupuncturist during Guru Gita last Thursday and I told her that it is because she is still suffering from so much anger in her and her inability to forgive her ex for all the sexual abuse/rape. She was taken aback and concurred with my snap analysis. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृष्ण॥ Dear Swee, Namaskar When you do find the time out from your schedule i would appreciate your scholarly comments. My learning of gemstones and their prescription is slightly different from yours. This, I believe, is highlighted quite clearly in the past discussions of former President PV Narasimha Rao's chart where he was advised to wear a Red Coral. Now, for a Virgo Lagna the wearing of Red Coral (on right hand middle finger) would seem quite wrong, if we follow the strict logic that dusthana lords are evil. But, this is where these strict steps have proved to be wrong as he rose to power in the appropriate dasa. As for nature of gemstones, I was taught that a Yellow Diamond is still ruled by Venus but its lusture give an element of a Guru-Shukra yoga. Similarly a White Sapphire (unlike a blue sapphire) is still ruled by Jupiter, but carries a qualities of Venus as well... i.e. a Guru-Shukra yoga. For your research i can say that my finances were much much worse when i wore the citrine and also the heliodore. I spent my entire savings during that time on traveling and jyotish. This stabilized with the wearing of the Heliodore. Now with the wearing of the White Sapphire i have a very comfortable position financially since late summer. Much better than the previous periods. The words regarding 'the devata in the gem' carry much weight and i will send a separate message on this list to Anuj regarding this. Guest guest
Untitled Document हरे राम कृषà¥à¤£à¥¥ Dear Anuj, Namaskar When i first wore a gem for Jupiter i fell sick within a week. To test this i would sometimes take of the gem for a few weeks and then wear it again for a week to see the effects only to confirm that i fell sick again. This was a citrine at the time. This happened to the extent that i gave up on wearing the gem and wanted to give it back. At this juncture Sanjayji told me to keep the gem in milk overnight. The next morning we then sat down and recited the Brhaspati Gayatri whilst keeping the gem in the left hand and covering it with the right (prasna marga). The result was that i barely fell sick ever again whilst wearing the gemstone. I learnt alot of jyotish and my trips back and forth through conferences began. Since then i realized that the gemstone ALSO depends on the devata who will sit in it, and a gemstone without a devata will be like a house without any other occupant than the thoughts and feelings of the one who previously handled the gemstone. Well.... i fell sick with that. Since then i always wear the gemstone on the day of the devata after reciting mantras for that devata, thus imbibing the gemstone with some auspicious 'bimba'. Has anybody written any articles on how to do this, and do you always make sure to practice this yourself? That way Mars in twelfth for Leo lagna can prove to be a powerful raja yoga, but jealousy from others may remain due to its aspect on the sixth house from lagna. o Tritiiya prasna There could be various reasons to advise a gemstone for the ninth house. If rahu is joined the ninth house or lord, or aspecting, then no doubt a yellow sapphire should be worn... no matter the position of Jupiter. In fact, if such a gemstone is not advised the luck of the person simply won't start. Instead the person will be running in circles. Now, if in a case the lord of the ninth house lords an inauspicious house, and is ALSO placed in it, we have a problem. Example: for Aries lagna, Jupiter in twelfth can cause separation from father, as it is also ninth lord. In such cases only advise the gemstone if absolutely necessary to avoid a greater evil (rahu, saturn, etc). Guest guest
Dear & Respected Visti Ji , Swee Ji, Anuj Ji and Gurujans. I have been interestingly reading all the threads related to Gem Stones and their effects. Especially for Jupiter. In one of the threads and also in book from one of our sohamasa guru and lecture from Guru Sarrajit Poddar, I read that if RAHU is in 9th house then one should wear Yellow Sapphire or its substiture like yellow citrine or topaz in right hand's ring finger. This should be worn in Gold. My question is 1) Is this the general rule which is applicable to all the sigs and lagna. In my case I have Leo Lagna and I have Saturn in 8th house ( Pis) and Rahu in 9th ( Aries) , Sat is my UL and DK also and Rahu is 2nd from UL. As u all know Sat in 8th is not at all good and Rahu in 9th and 2nd from UL is again bad and it had bought me lot of problems in my personnel life and I have been going thru lot of issue. Now although I have been wearing this ring since beginning of this year, it has not bought any good effects or relief to me. I have Sun + Venu in my 5th house and Mer in 4th and Mars in 2nd from Lagna with Jupiter in 12th house. Also I am wearing Durga Locket around my neck Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something. I remember at time of wearing on thrusday I had recited Vishnu Mantra. All the help on this will be very helpful. Prior to wearing Topaz or citrine I was weaing Ruby in my ring finger. It will go long way in which can be a divine help to overcome the issues. Guest guest
Swee Ji Let me write what I understood from your reply below. Although we say that in case Rahu is in 9th house we should wear 'Yellow Sapphire' in ring finger to take care of negative effects which rahu in 9th house bring, but it may not be true. Wearing yellow saphire just becuase Rahu is in 9th house will not bring any good or positive effects. Isn't HE more encompassing than Brihaspati?
>
Also I am wearing Durga Locket around my neck
>
Am I doing something wrong or have I missed something. I remember at time of wearing on thrusday I had recited Vishnu Mantra.SWEE: Nothing wrong with this at all. Durga locket is the correct one for attracting wealth. Wealth comes in many forms, especially of knowledge and who better than Her to appease in the form of a kavach? The locket requires you to "recharge" it at least once every 3 years with all the proper rites. Durga Ma ahs her own mantras for you to eulogise, her own kavacha mantras etc.love,Swee
All the help on this will be very helpful. Prior to wearing Topaz or citrine I was weaing Ruby in my ring finger. It will go long way in which can be a divine help to overcome the issues.
>
Namaste Visti,

In your case, Jupiter is a friend of lagna lord and a lord of trikona, so Yellow Sapphire is most likely to suit you.

I am passing >this message to Sohamsa as well as to Sri Swee.. and let us see what all have to say on this matter.

I'd really like to hear Sanjayji's comments too. Similarly for Venus in own sign in sixth/eighth we advise Yellow Sapphire to exalted Venus, and make Pisces more prominent.

>
o Dvitiiya prasna
When a kendra lord is a malefic its effects can become very auspicious in a dusthana house and form a vipareet raja yoga. This is not so for benefics. For example: Saturn in twelfth for Vrishabha lagna is an excellent Vipareet Raja Yoga, but Venus in twelfth for Capricorn lagna definitely isn't.... unless the person travels abroad.

>
This follows the general principle that malefics are auspicious in dusthanas, whilst benefics are auspicious in trikonas. That way Mars in twelfth for Leo lagna can prove to be a powerful raja yoga, but jealousy from others may remain due to its aspect on the sixth house from lagna.

>
o Tritiiya prasna
There could be various reasons to advise a gemstone for the ninth house.

>

>
Yours sincerely,
--
Visti Larsen
email: visti (AT) srigaruda (DOT) com
For consultations and articles visit: http://srigaruda. com

sushmagupta51 wrote:>
>
>
>
>
!Om Gurveh Namah!
>
& nbsp;
>
Dear Visti ji, Namaskar!
>
& nbsp;
>
I had an opportunity to listen to your lectures on Gem stones, First of all I will like to thank you for doing the informative lecture.
