Ascertaining second marriage is really crucial. Shri K.N.Rao uses 9th house - perhaps treating second wife as equivalent to younger sister of the first wife. The 8th from 2nd indicates break of first marriage, which may initiate process of second marriage. Both the logics seem to be sound. Above both these concepts, I feel, 7th lord is still very important - primarily for deciding timings. However, most important is testing these concepts on the basis of *advanced predictions *(and not posr-mortem type analysis) which is always most difficult. We may find it difficult to predict even the first marriage, where we have unambiguous principles for our guidance.
