I must tell you that the Vimshottari assignment has

cleared many of the cobwebs in my mind relating to the

importance one should attribute to various dashas

available. Thank you!

 

My answer to the 1st question is as follows:

There are 3 planets in the quadrants to Lagna, thus

Tara Dasha does not apply.

 

Though my birth is during the night (after sunset) in

Shukla paksha, yet Rahu is not in quadrant/trine to

paka lagna.

 

Thus, Vimshottari dasha applies to my case.

 

Determination of dasha:

Moon Nakshatra: Uttarashadha

Lagna Nakshatra: Aslesha

Utpanna Star: Purva Bhadrapada in Aquarius

I am not clear about Kshema and Adhana star.

 

The moon is the strongest point with 2 other planets

in its quadrants, thus the owner of Uttarashadha " Sun "

will start the Vimshottari dasha.

 

Sun dasha balance = 6*(1-(276 " 41'-266 " 40')=1.491223

= 1 year 5 months 29 days

Mars is L5 and the yogakaraka for cancer ascendant and

thus should give one of the successful periods of

life. L5 (Education, property) is associated with L4

(Education, property)in 4th house. 4th house is 10th

from Moon. Thus, education and property should have

taken a front seat and substantial progress initiated

in Mars Dasha.

 

Venus who is L4 and conjunct L5 in 4th house, thus a

new house would have been bought in Mars Dasha Venus

Sub Dasha.

 

Jup L6, L9 and Rahu L8 are in 6th giving rise to

Vipareet raja yoga. Thus, the benefits for this yoga

would have started accruing in the Rahu Dasha Jup Sub

dasha. As Jupiter's 5th aspect is on 10th house, 12th

house and 2nd house. This period indicates an

increase in income beginning this period and some

recurring outflows too. Some more increase is

indicated in Jup Dasha Rahu Sub Dasha towards the end

of Jup dasha.
