Namaste Brendan,

> This native committed sucide on April 6, 1988. Birth info: Dec 7, 1954, 2:13

> AM, Minneapolis, MN (Time Zone 6:00 hrs, 93w15, 44n58). I received the data

Before we proceed, let us first conduct a sanity check on the reliability of the

data!

(1) The 3rd house from AL (arudha lagna) in rasi chart shows the broad

circumstances of death. For example, 3rd from AL in Pi may give death related to

water (e.g. falling in a sea or river). More importantly, aspect/conjunction of

a malefic like Mars or Rahu is necessary for a violent death. Here 3rd from AL

is Pi and it has aspects of debilitated Rahu and Ketu (from Sg and Ge

respectively). That can give a violent death.

(2) End of the physical existence is best reflected in Rudramsa (D-11). The 8th

house in it shows how Rudra destroys the longevity of the native. For a violent

end, 8th in D-11 (or lagna in D-11) must be under malefic influences. Here D-11

has lagna in Ta. The 8th house (Sg) has Rahu and the 2nd (Ge) has Saturn and

Ketu. Mars (7th lord) aspects both. So, Mars, Saturn and nodes are all involved

with 2nd/8th axis. This can give a violent end.

(3) Suicide may come after a lot of mental turmoil and suffering. Such internal

suffering is shown in D-30. In fact, D-30 is an important chart for seeing

mental disorders and vulnerabilities. It shows suffering, disease and

abnormality in the subconscious plane.

Here Moon is with nodes in Sg! Saturn and 8th lord Venus aspect them from in Ge.

All the planets aspect lagna. They also aspect lagna lord and an extremely

strong 7th lord, who are together in 7th (house of death). So key houses and

Moon are badly afflicted by Saturn and nodes. This can give death after a lot of

turmoil.

So the birthdata passes the basic sanity checks and we can proceed further.

More importantly, remember the *basics*!

The 3rd and 8th houses are the houses of longevity. If they are *weak*,

longevity is troubled. OTOH, the 2nd and 7th houses are the houses of death. If

they are *strong*, longevity is troubled. Parasara is very clear that 2nd and

7th are the most important killer houses.

Here Li is the 2nd house and it is occupied by its lord and exalted 6th lord.

(Still it is not a very strong candidate for giving death. A sign with an

exalted atma karaka and jeevana karaka Saturn may not give death.)

Jupiter owns the other killer house - 7th. He is also Maheswara in this chart.

He is exalted in Cn. Moreover, as you say, lord of Cn is in 8th. In fact, Cn

stands out as a killer house. Sg with Rahu and mrityu pada is another good

candidate and the other candidate is Pi. Pi is 7th from lagna and 3rd from AL.

It is another strong candidate. In fact, Libra is less of a candidate than these

three, despite being a strong 2nd house.

One more comment: Narayana dasa is a phalita dasa. Ayur dasas show death better.

Narayana dasa shows sustenance just as Narayana stands for sustenance among the

Trinity. However, shades of death may be visible in one's sustenance before

death, if it a suicide. In such cases, Narayana dasa may show death. Otherwise,

don't use Narayana dasa at all. Use shoola dasa etc. Shiva (who uses shoola as a

weapon) rules over death and Narayana rules over sustenance.

> D30 - Narayana dasa

> Expunge 12, 6 remains and the 6th lord is Saturn. Saturn is in Ge. Start D-30

> n-dasa from Ge or Sg.

> Saturn is AK so start from Ge. Anti-zodiacial and progression is 1, 5, 9.

To my knowledge, AK's presence (rule 1 of strength) is used in dasas that use AK

(for example, " Atma Karaka Kendradi Rasi Dasa " ). So Sg with 3 planets is

stronger than Ge with 2 planets. Start dasas from Sg and not Ge.

Even if you take Ge, your calculations are wrong. Because Ge has Saturn, " Saturn

exception " applies. Instead of going as Ge, Aq, Li, Vi, Ta, Cp etc, dasas go as

Ge, Cn, Le, Vi, Li etc. Saturn in dasa start sign makes dasas go in the regular

order (Ar, Ta, Ge etc). Ketu in dasa start sign reverses the order (if it is Sg,

Le, Ar, Pi, Sc, Cn etc, it becomes Sg, Ar, Le, Vi, Cp, Ta etc with Ketu in Sg).

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

> Ge 4 - 1 = 3 yrs 12/54 - 12/57

> Aq 9 - 1 = 8 yrs 12/57 - 12/65

> Li 9 - 1 = 8 yrs 12/65 - 12/73

> Vi 12 - 0 = 12 yrs 12/73 - 12/85

> Ta 2 - 1 = 1 yrs 12/85 - 12/86

> Cp 8 - 1 = 7 yrs 12/86 - 12/93

>

> Event in Cp dasa. Antaradasas of Cp: Cp is stronger, Saturn is in Ge, so
