I thought I would forward.... ------- [vedic astrology] Lesson 2 Sat, 18 Mar 2000 19:57:51 +0300 " YND " <vedant vedic astrology <vedic astrology > Dear jyotisha, Namaste. Jaya Jagannath! Some extra statements on the Lesson 2. They are based on Parasara Muni in the light of Srila Prabhupada's teachings and I will present them for the benefit of the audience. I will stick to Parasara's names of Catur-vyuha (quadruple form of the Lord) which are also used by Srila Prabhupada and are given in Srimad Bhagavatam . So Bhagavatam explains that Lord Vasudeva is the adhidevata of the citta, consciousness, Sankarasana is the adhidevata of ego, Anidruddha is the adhidevata of the mind and Pradyumna is the adhidevata of the intelligence. All four of Them are transcendental. As soon as jiva realizes his spiritual nature, he gives up his material consciousness, ego, mind and intelligence and takes upon his original spiritual identity thus duly worshiping Lord Nararayana with all his being. Thus the Catur-vyuha form is also reffered to as the Aid-de-camps of Lord Narayana. They are His immediate expansions. So. spiritually, the Fiery signs reffer to Lord Vasudeva, Earthly - to Lord Sankarsana, Airy - to Lord Pradhyumna and Waterly - to Lord Aniruddha - this is on the level of Narayana. On the level of Nara they reffer to consciousness, ego (body), intelligence and mind respectively. In the perverted materialistic stage of the living being, they reffer to materialistic consciousness, bodily identification, materialistic intelligence and material mind (the principles of dharma, artha, kama and moksa are another side of the same coin.) The perfection of this stage of Nara-Narayana when a jiva attains his original spiritual consciousness, real ego of being part and parcel of Lord Narayan, intelligence of accepting everytning favorable for worship of Lord Narayan and rejecting everything unfavorable, and mind absorbed in meditation on Lord Narayan. Now another part is connected with figure 3. Whereas the perverted material reflection is known under the names of rajas, sattva and tamas, their spiritual prototypes are the Bhu, Sri and Neela sakits respectively. They are completely spiritual energies of the Lord. They should never be misunderstood as material. Parasara clearly says that Lord Sankarasna, Pradyumna and Aniruddha associates with Neela, Bhu and Sri saktis respectively. As the Former are above matter, so are the latter. The material modes are simply their perverted reflections. Bhu, Neela, and Sri shaktis represent the active, fixed, and refined principles in the activites of the spiritual world Vaikuntha beyond the influence of material time and space. Another dimension of the spiritual counterpart of the Bha-chakra is it's division into three parts. First part (Aries to Cancer) represent the ontological (beyond time) beginning of the jiva's spiritual identity, it's basic relationships with Lord Narayan. In the process of beginning stage of sadhana of a soul striving for perfection they are manifest as active and keen mind and consciousness, worship of the Deity of Lord Narayan, and intelligence searching after truth are it's characteristics. The second part (Leo to Scorpio) represent the activiites in jiva's original spiritual identity. In the process of sadhana they are manifest as steadintess in one's spiritual consciousness and also devotion to Lord Narayan, very active and expasive spiritual intelligence and efforts to perfect one's service for the cause of the Lord. The third part (Saggitarious to Pisces) represent the ultimate perfection of one's relationships with Lord Narayan. For a jiva it is the sadhya which is characterized by refined spiritual consciousness and mind, active service to Lord Narayan on Vaikuntha and undeviated intelligence... .... time to go to bed. kindest regards, Yasomatinandana das -----Èñõîäíîå ñîîáùåíèå----- Îò: Narasimha Rao <Narasimha_Rao Êîìó: vedic astrology <vedic astrology > Äàòà: 16 ìàðòà 2000 ã. 21:06 Òåìà: [vedic astrology] Article on argalas > > > >Namaste friends, > >Just like aspects, argala is a very basic concept of Vedic astrology.
