But, some learned Astrologers intrepret houses in concerned divisional charts clockwise or anti clockwise according to oddity of signs(not odd foot or even foot). Yes, Ketu alters some times like in calculation of argalas and Narayana Dasas etc. To understand the Upapada concept the combinations stated for Arudha Lagna also to be studied. And Jaimini clearly explains some hundred percent accurate combinations like combination of Rahu and Saturn etc. During my studies with Upapada, I find combination of natural malefics in second house from Upapada always leads to tension in married life. I can add one more thing that the influence of Moon on this combination always leads to separation. Of course the above are all my observations. In fact, Jaimini clearly states that the influence of Moon always aggrevates/confirms the situation, more so if malefic combination. Similarly check for the influence of 5th/ 9th from the Upapada for the analysis of Putra bhava for male and female charts respectively. Sanjay Ji states that Ketu in UL gives a spouse who is spirtual. And he clearly states that leads to " Kulasya Unnatim " i.e; prospers the family.
