Misc Questions Related with Pt. Rath's Vedic Remedies Book

Okay, hi everybody here,

 

I'm reading Pt. Rath's Vedic Remedies in Astrology right now and I'm

kinda stuck in some places, so I'm asking few questions and I hope all

of you here can participate and help me clear this confusion:

 

1. Guru Devata

 

Do you find Guru Devata from the Bhratrikaraka planet or from the

ruler of the sign occupied by the Bhratrikaraka in Navamsha chart?

Suppose, Moon is the Bhratrikaraka planet and occupying Capricorn in

Navamsha, would the Guru Devata be related to Moon or Saturn?

 

2. Mantra Selection

 

Now, Pt. Rath says that the mantra should have as many syllables as

the natural signification is counted from Lagna for natural events,

while in case of worldly events, then the mantra should have as many

syllables counted from Lagna to the pada of the house concerned. In

such a case, where would education fall? Now, knowledge and learning

is related with the true self, isn't it? But, things like formal

education (o/a levels, bachelor's, etc) aren't really related with our

true self, now is it? So, would we base the mantra on the pada of the

4th house or the natural signification of education, Mercury?

 

3. Dasha Selection

 

Okay, now Pt. Rath tells us that let's use the stronger of Lagna and

Moon nakshatra to start the Vimshottari Dasha system for phalita

matters, while the stronger of Lagna and Sun for ayur related matters.

But, generally in his case studies, I've seen Pt. Rath use Vimshottari

Dasha initiated from the Moon nakshatra. Why is this so? Is there

anything else? Plus, the conditional Dashas are never used? I'm kinda

confused here, so I'd really appreciate, if somebody could clear my

confusion, especially the Gurus. By the way, I'd like to ask the Gurus

here, what system to you follow. Do you check the stronger of the two

(Lagna, Moon, and Sun) or you start straight from the Moon?

 

4. Gemstones

 

Okay, now, according to Pt. Rath, we should choose the gemstone of

functional benefic planets - lords of 1st, 9th, and 5th - in that

order. And, he specially focuses on the gem stone of lagna lord

because it's the driving force of our chart. But, now, will wearing

the gemstone of the lagna lord for Taurus and Scorpio lagnas be

beneficial because the lagna lords here Venus and Mars respectively

have their mooltrikona sign on the 6th and 8th houses respectively?

 

5. Ishta Devata

 

The planet in the 12th to the Atma Karaka in Navamsha guides us to our

Ishta Devata. Now, suppose, let's say the planet is Saturn. How would

we pick the exact deity there? As far as I know, Lord Shivaji, Rudra,

Narayan, Bhairav, and Kali all are the presiding deities of Saturn. Is

there any way we can pick the specific one, or is it that we can pick

any of the deities?
