Sanjay-ji has explicity stated that Lahiri Ayanaamsa is the best we can have at present. Being a student of this parampara I also use it and have found good results (in combination with Maharshi's teachings). You may hold a different view and that is perfectly alright.However, my humble question to you is that is it a good idea to debate every astrological question based on ayanaamsa thereby resulting in two-pronged opinions ? Or should we have a different forum altogether for the ayanaamsa ? Because to my understanding, fresh students like myself will not benefit much from the ayanaamsa cross currents. I myself draw the blinds as soon as ayanaamsa question arises as I am keen on learning the basics at present and with ayanaamsa thrown in, it becomes muddy. What works for me and most of others is what is good for me now.I haven't linked Lahiri Ayanaamsa with my paramapara. Sanjay-ji is the present paramaguru of this paramapara and being a student of this tradition, I am going by his explicit guidence. Later on his guidence may change based on his own research and understanding and I would be happy to try a change and test it myself.
