Amavasya and Solar eclipse on the same day - Very rare event

Dear members,

 

Just to remind that Amavasya and solar eclipse will always fall same day. Amavasya is the root cause to form solar eclipse.

Correct me, if I am wrong.

|JAI SRIRAM|Dear Members, This year on October 3rd both Amavasya and Solar eclipsewill fall on the same day.This was happened in hundread years beforeon 1905.Some part of India including Tamilnadu,Gujarat,Rajastan andsome more places this Solar eclipse is able to view.Is there anysignificance of both Amavasya and Solar eclipse on the same day falland is there any particular remedy for that?Note:For those having having Kala Sarpa Yoga and Kala Amirta Yogathis day is a very special one for doing shanthi pariharam(remedies).Thanks,S.Venkatesh Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005

Dear Sanjay Sinha and Members,

 

Please note that it is an Amavasya of the month Bhadrapada

(Puratassi masa) where Sun is in Virgo.It is also called as Mahalaya

Patcha Amavasya.That Amavasya and Solar eclipse on the same day

ie;Sun is in the rasi of Kanya and the Solar eclipse both will happen

on Oct3,2005 this year.This special day after 100 years it was before

on 1995.
