OM namo narayanaya

Dear Gurus and fellow students,

I have spent all of today trying to find out how to calculate the

special aspects of the grahas. In an old email, gurudeva told us why

only the outer planets have them. The outer planets are beyond earth,

and like birds in the sky, can see more than birds on the ground

(inner planets).

Mars - 4/8

Jupiter - 5/9

Saturn - 3/10

After a long time, I made the following observations:

There is a natural division of the chart into ayanas. Each of these

grahas should have one aspect for each ayana. The first aspect should

represent uttarayana, and the second, dakshinayana.

In dakshinaya, the grahas own the 8th, 9th, 10th respectively in

the natural horoscope. This is where the second aspect comes from.

In uttarayana, the grahas own the 1st, 12th, 11th.

Now note the positions of exaltation/debilitation in uttarayana (the

malefics saturn & mars are debilitated. The benefic jupiter is exalted.)

The grahas are exlt/deb in the 4th, 4th, 1st.

Calculate the difference between each pair of houses, giving the 4rd,

5th and 3th houses (giving the first special apect)

Therefore, the special aspects are 4/8, 5/9, 3/10.

If this is indeed the correct way to calculate them, I am wondering why

the difference between house of exlt/deb and own house in uttarayana has

special meaning.

your sishya,

ajit
