Sri Satyadevashtakam (new prayer)

Namaste learned friends,

 

Tuesday's Karthika Pournima was the 64th Full Moon since we started our monthly Satya Narayana vratam.

 

On this auspicious occasion, I composed a small prayer consisting of eight Sanskrita verses for Lord Satya Deva (the god of Truth). I called it "Sri Satyadevashtakam".

 

 

I am also enclosing the prayer in PDF format with the mail. But those who read this mail on may not have access to it as removes attachments. In that case, you can read the prayer at the following location in Devanagari script or in Roman script. I have also given the meanings of the verses at the end, in English language, for the benefit of those who like to understand the meanings of the prayers they read.

This prayer has no special power in it, as it is composed by a normal person like me. However, it is a sincere praise of the qualities of the Lord and it makes some good wishes. Especially, if some blessed souls read it in the coming years, it will gradually gain a power of its own. That is the idea behind sharing it with all. Please feel free to read it on Full Moon nights or on other auspicious occasions. Please feel free to share it with others who may be interested.
