Being a neophite in jyotisa, I'd like to hear more details about this.

It seems to me, that the grahas are somehow counterparts of, or even

subordinates to, the devas who rule the naksatras. As I see it, Surya

(graha) is a dependent counterpart of Savitar (deva), Dyu (Jupiter,

graha) is a dependent counterpart of Brhaspati (deva), etc.

If my understanding is not completely wrong, then what is the

rationale for the vimsottari dasas being based on a nakastra that is

claimed to be ruled by a particular graha?

On what grounds are the vimsottari dasas claimed to be highly accurate?

I'd appreciate your enlightening comments. Thanks.
