Dear Narasimha,

 

That logic is not mine. It is that of Parasara in his discussions about the

benefits of the Mahalakshmi Vrata on Thursdays in the month of Margasira and

the duties of the pious Dharmic ladies. This is the surest method of

ensuring a happy married life, not becoming a widow and also having

excellent sons besides all the other blessings of Lakshmi, Bhagavan and

Jupiter...

 

Lakshmi has various forms...I am finishing here for now. Do consider the

reasons more carefully and all that I have taught earlier about Dharma as

the foundation of marriage.
