Guest guest
In both Brihat Jataka and BPHS (under chapters explaining Nabhasa Yoga), it is unambiguously stated that presence of malefics occupying three (distinct) quadrants forms Sarpa Yoga in a chart. However, many scholars opine that Sarpa yoga is present in a chart if 3 malefics are in (any number of) quadrants. Also, these texts do not mention the nodes (Rahu & Ketu) as being included in the list of malefics but only natural malefic real planets - Sun, Mars and Saturn. However, many scholars include these nodes in the list of malefics giving rise to Sarpa Yoga. Can learned members throw some light as to why there is ambiguity in interpretation when there is consensus within the community that astrology is an exact science. I'll be grateful for feedback and explanation from learned members in clarifying this confusion regarding presence of Sarpa Yoga in a chart. regards
