Dear Swee

Very interesting.

I have explained this earlier, let us take the names of Rama, Krishna and Kali

Rama-25, reverse it 52, divide by 12 , the remainder is 4-Cancer with Jupiter and Moon.

Krishna comes to 2-Taurus, with exalted moon

Kali comes to 7-Libra and Saturn exalts here.

Taurus and Libra aspect each other, no wonder Krishna and Kali are same

I, saying RÄma, RÄma, RÄma (am interested in RÄma). RÄma's name is equal to the Thousand Names (of Vi

ñëu).

Sanskrit Alphabets & Sapta Graha

Sanskrit the most scientifically derived language has 50 alphabets starting with 'A' and ending with 'Ksh'. These first and last alphabets define the terminology used for alphabet as 'A'+'ksh'+'ra' = Akshara. Not going into the detailed analysis, suffice is to say that since these alphabets were involved in the process of creation of this entire universe, they do not contain the destructive forces of nature. hence the seven planets from the Sun to Saturn were said to lord over them. However, in other systems of Vedic Numerology we find Rahu sharing some of the alphabets that are ruled by the Moon. Thus, the alphabets are divided into seven groups ruled by the sun to Saturn.

Katapayadi Varga

1.

Each of the Sanskrit

[1] vowels have a zero value (Table-1) and,

2.

Each of the consonants Ka, Ta, Pa & Ya have a numerical value of one, hence the name Katapayadi Varga.

3.

The consonants following these have a sequentially higher numerical value (Table 1 & 2).

Write the word of the stanza in Devanagari script and remove the "matra's" and incomplete/half letters. The numerical value of the remaining letters should be written sequentially and the number so obtained should be reversed. Divide this by 12. The remainder gives the sign/house referred to in the stanza.

Thus:

RÄma, RÄma, RÄma (rÄ = 2; ma=5)

2+5+2+5+2+5= 21 = 12/12 = 0 = AUM

BOTH numbers belong to MARS who rules the Sama Veda and the "MUSICAL" sound is the Primordial Sound AUM! The BIG BANG!!

There are lots of references in the same Purana pertaining to this.

Note:

The slokÄ given above states that by chanting RÄma, RÄma, RÄma, it is equivalent to chanting the Vi

ñëu SahasranÄm thus:

(2x5)+(2x5)+(2+5) = 1,000

Dear Partha,

Namaste

kR^iSNa (1+0+6+0) comes to 7. Do you Divide that by

12?

kali (1+3+0) = 4

After all, she is Mother Earth where her presence

protects us on the physical plane.

Dear Swee

In katapayadi varga we dont give value to the stops, only the sounds are given value

Now K is joined with RI in Krishna. Thus K is not counted

Similarly SH is joined with Na. There is no vowel after SH, and thus SH is not counted

So RI is 2 and Na is 0

20, reverse it , it becomes 02, divide by 12, the remainder is 2.

BTW we dont add the individual numbers in the word. We just place it side by side

Even in Kali, we have to place Ka-1 and Li-3 side by side

which is 13. No adding up.

Now reerse 13, it is 31, divide by 12, the remainder is 7 which is Libra with exalted Saturn

Now tradition says that Moon+saturn is Kali

Moon itself is all compassionate Lord Krishna

Best wishes

partha

Jaya Jagannatha

Dear Partha,

Namaste

Whilst I understand your lesson (thank you for that

:)), it does not explain why Siva would tell Parvati

that just chanting Raama, Raama, Raama is as good as

chanting the Vishnu Sahasranaama. Later in the texts,

hints are also given that chanting the names of Raama

equates to His manifest as in Surya. So this is the

vaishnav equivalent for Siva. That is, for those who

find the lower manifest of Siva of the taamas energy.

What do you say? I would appreciate your thoughts.

love,

Swee

Dear Swee

The lagna lord acts like Surya. Here is Bhagvan's chart, Moon is the lagna lord with Jupiter. And he has also got exalted Surya in 10th house(Svarga)

So whenever lagna lord is strong, one must check Surya also who is the karaka. Jupiter gets digbala in lagna and being in Parmauchcha, he actually gives tremendous retention power to Lord Rama. That is why he was able to remember so many complex mantras.

Best wishes

Dear Swee

Few more points

Ram is the agni bija ruling the Manipura chakra. Rama gives the vision like Surya. Infact the word Rama itself has everything, exalted fiery planets, exalted satwic planets, Karka rasi, kindness compassion. THe single name Rama has many a powerful antidotes to poisons.

Om Namo Bhagvate ramachandraya

Om Namo Bhagvate ramabhadraya

sri rama jaya rama jaya jaya rama

best wishes

partha

The lagna lord acts like Surya. Here is Bhagvan's chart, Moon is the lagna lord with Jupiter. And he has also got exalted Surya in 10th house(Svarga)

So whenever lagna lord is strong, one must check Surya also who is the karaka. Jupiter gets digbala in lagna and being in Parmauchcha, he actually gives tremendous retention power to Lord Rama. That is why he was able to remember so many complex mantras.

Best wishes

|| Jaya Jagannath ||

Dear Partha,

In Krishna,

R^i is the vowel and hence we need to take Ka as the consonant. So it becomes

Ka + Na = 1 – 5

Reversing it we have 51, divided by 12, we

get 3 as the reminder, which takes us to Gemini.

Re: [Jaya Jagannatha] The

Theory of the BIG BANG???

Dear Swee

In katapayadi varga we dont give value to the stops, only the sounds

are given value

Now K is joined with RI in Krishna.

Thus K is not counted

Similarly SH is joined with Na. There is no vowel after SH, and thus SH

is not counted

So RI is 2 and Na is 0

20, reverse it , it becomes 02, divide by 12, the remainder is 2.

BTW we dont add the individual numbers in the word. We just place it

side by side

Even in Kali, we have to place Ka-1 and Li-3 side by side

which is 13. No adding up.

Now reerse 13, it is 31, divide by 12, the remainder is 7 which is

Libra with exalted Saturn

Now tradition says that Moon+saturn is Kali

Moon itself is all compassionate Lord Krishna

Best wishes

Dear Partha,

kR^iSNa (1+0+6+0) comes to 7. Do you Divide that

by

12?

kali (1+3+0) = 4

After all, she is Mother Earth where her presence

protects us on the physical plane.

Jaya Jagannatha

Dear Sarajit,

Namaste

Thank you for the correction Na = 5 and not 6 as

stated by me.

Would you like to endeavour an explaination as to why

Rama twice and remembering only Rama, ie Rama's name

thrice equates to 1,000 names of Vishnu?

Thanks.

love,

Swee

Dear Swee, Namaste,

Even I would like to know the secret behind the Rama Nama. What I can do now is

speculate only.

The avatars of Vishnu have their importance in a way that, they have taken forms

not only to destroy the evils but also to show the right way to live the world

and prepare for the world beyond. Hence the names of the avatars are more

effective than the names of Vishnu himself.

Best Wishes
