Dear Swee

Tithi ashtottari is what i check first for many people. It is my trade secret:-))

Well, Sanjayji has given a nice example to tithi ashtottari for natal charts also in UDU dasa book. The example was of lord Krishna.

I started mercury dasa in 2004-isn't it great? after many years of miserable mars dasa.

I generally check tithi ashtottari dasa for seeing marriages. Dont know why but it works

Best wishes

Dear Partha,

Namaste

From Garuda Purana I Chapter 60, it looks like the calculations of Tithi Asttotari Dasa has been given.

Dasa of Sun is 6 years, that of Moon, 15; that of Mars 8 and that of Mercury 17 that of Saturn 10 years; that of Jupiter 19; that of Rahu 12 and that of Venus 21 years. The dasas of Sun yields misery and heart burn and destroys kings. Moon's dasa yields prosperity, happiness and sumptuous food.

the dasa of Mars is miserable. It may cause deposition from the kingdom etc. The dasa of Mercury gives women of divine charms and flourishing kingdom with ample treasury.

Etc etc.,

If interested with the run down, I shall type them out for you. My question is, when is this used? I was born on Ekadashi Day and it is ruled by Mars. Moon is on the 29

th degree and some odd minutes, so I would have a year and some odd days before Mercury's onset. Rahu's period began during 2002.

Jupiter, my AmK was during 1983 (when I got my first initiation in 1984.)

Suggest how should I read this. It says in JHora, that it is useful especially in Tithi Pravesh charts. But I think it is flawed somewhat as we read Tithi Pravesha chart only for that year and associate it with our Hora Lord.

Any ideas?

Love,

Swee

Dear Swee

There is no trade secret. What i meant was that i use Tithi ashtottari dasa a lot than many do for natal charts also.

Generally people use it with TP charts.

But i see some good results with natal chart also

I started Mercury tithi ashtottari dasa on July 6th 2004, in 10 days i got the results that you described for mercury :-))

best wishes
