Guest guest
Dear Yasomatinandana, > Parakrama means what - 'steps overriding the law' or just 'strenuous > efforts'? Meanings of words change a little with time. Originally " paraakrama " meant a " bold advance/attack " . Its etymology is " para + aakrama " (para = others, aakrama = overcome/seize/tread upon). In time, it came to simply mean " boldness " . However, " paraakrama " strictly means the ability to to take a bold initiative, to attack and to overcome. It means the spirit of attacking.
