My story: For some reason, since 2004 things seem to be going wrong. I faced a period of depression after 1. even after getting a masters admission into a top school could not get funds to study 2. a job that was created specially for me where i was contracting did not work out for me at the last moment. I subsequently left the company I was working with. Since then and whichever job i apply to doesnt seem to work out. Applications are rejected always. when i am about to get something it stops working out mysteriously ....for exmaple the company or project stops or the department moves. What is happening. I am wearing a diamond and a sapphire since two years since our family astrologer said i have a Saturn issue. I live in germany and have bad luck here ...the country doesnt seem to suit me. My date of birth is 1 Dec 1974 time: 3:56 am place Los Angeles USA. I truly hope someone will help me understand why this spate of bad luck on the financial / job front. Although Saturn is a yogakaraka for Libra rising, it is vakra (retrograde) in the 9th house and acting like the nodes. I don't know if I would recommend sapphire to wear or if it is the appropriate remedy for the chart yet. Your Saturn Vimsottari dasa started on Sep 8, 2004 and you were in Sat Sat til Sep 12, 2007. hence the problems you have been experiencing. Vakra Saturn has been hurtingthe 9th house of bhagya/fortune. You are now in Sat Mer which may be a little easier. 2. The Sun is badhakesh and conjunct Rahu. Also, the lord of the 22nd Drekkana is the kharesh which is Mercury, which can also cause badhak effects. All of these located in the 2nd house of resources. I believe a badhak remedy is necessary as well as an eclipse remedy. I need help from the gurus on this list to determine the appropriate deity to worship to help badhakesh. a. Lord of the sign occupied by badhakesh Sun is Mars. So Agni is the elmenent to use and so a lamp or candle is part of the remedy. b. Mars is in the 12th house from badhakesh (in Rasi) so the worshipped image has been mutilated. This brings the wrath of the deity. Since Mars is involved there were disputes, bad management of worship or the image or temple.Since Rahu is conjunct badhakesh Sun, pollution or dirt made the idol impure. Also, since badhakesh is in the 2nd house, deity's wealth has been stolen or misappropriated. It is Dhatu (inanimate object) since Mars sits in the lagna. I assume this all happened in a past life. (p.443) c. Badhakesh Sun in 2nd house, a riding image of the deity is needed and Mantra Japa is needed. You will need an appropriate mantra which is beyond my skill level to ascertain. Rahu is with badhakesh in a fixed sign, possibly planting trees will help as well. Sun is also vargottama in Scorpio Navmasa as well, increasing the possibility of a curse of the father. 3. Venus as lord of the 1st and 8th house, I don't think that wearing a diamond will help as it is also 8th house lord which could increase negative effects. I believe that the Moon should be strengthened by wearing pearls around the neck. 5. Since the Moon and Sun are both under affliction, it is making any yogas difficult to fructify. I believe this issue needs to be rectified first. 6. 6th lord (obstalces) Jupiter is located in the 5th house (future, plans) so any plans that you make meet with obstruction. In answer to your question about whether I am artistic and creative or strategic....the truth and maybe even a constant problem is I am equallly good at both. I am extremely analytical in every situation and think a lot and solve situations in a strategic way. On the other hand I am very artistic as well and expressing myself through some kind of art and being in a environment harmonious to the eye is very important to me. I believe this issue needs to be rectified first.6. 6th lord (obstalces) Jupiter is located in the 5th house (future, plans) so any plans that you make meet with obstruction. I'm sure there is remedy but I don't know what it is yet. Overall, I believe that mantras and puja are needed however, I think your chart should be rectified as your navamsa lagna could change. With the time you posted I have Capricorn navamsa lagna with Venus in it. With only a 2'44 " time difference and you could be Sagittarius navmsa lagna with Rahu and Moon in it.
