ANSWER: Lesson 12: Yogadas

Many of you have already answered the exercises in lesson 12

(yogadas). Solai took the trouble of making comments on your

answers. In some cases, I added further comments.

 

Now I will give my answers to Exercise 2.

 

 

Chart 2 - Rajiv Gandhi:

----------------------

 

Moon is in Leo. So Subhapati is Sun. Kartas are:

 

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn [in lagna & HL, aspecting GL]

Ketu [aspecting lagna & HL]

 

Being a karta, Subhapati Sun is Kevala.

 

All the kartas are yogadas, as they are kartas for lagna & HL both.

 

Being a yogada, Subhapati Sun is Kevala Yogada.

 

Mahayogadas are all the planets in Leo. They occupy lagna & HL and

aspect GL.

 

Being a mahayogada, Subhapati Sun is Kevala Mahayogada.

 

With so many mahayogadas in lagna, the native was very lucky.

 

 

Chart 3 - King Abdullah:

Subhapati is Venus as Moon is in Li.

 

All the seven planets in Cp aspect lagna and become kartas. Rahu in

Cn also aspects lagna and becomes karta. Moon occupies HL and he is

also a karta. So all the planets are kartas!

 

Being a karta, Subhapati Venus is Kevala.

 

Only planets occupying or owning or aspecting lagna can become

yogadas, i.e. Rahu and the 7 planets in Cp. None of them aspects

or occupies GL in Ar and HL in Li. But Mars owns GL and Venus owns

HL. So Mars and Venus become Yogadas.

 

Being a Yogada, Subhapati Venus is Kevala Yogada.

 

Mars has no direct association with HL and Venus has no direct

association with GL. So there is no Mahayogada.

 

King Abdullah will run the Vimsottari dasa of Venus from 2010. He

will become a powerful leader and play a prominent role in the

world then. Around the same time, he will run Narayana dasa of Cp

with so many planets and two yogadas. It will be an important

period in his life.

 

 

Chart 4 - Priyanka's Son:

Moon is in Leo and so Sun is Subhapati.

 

Lagna, GL and HL are occupied/aspected by planets in dual rasis -

Venus and nodes. Lagna is owned by Jupiter. HL and GL are owned

by Mercury. So Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Rahu and Ketu are kartas.

 

There is no Kevala, as Sun does not become a karta. It also

follows that there is no Kevala Yogada or Kevala Mahayogada.

 

Mercury and Jupiter have association with only lagna and HL/GL

respectively and do not become yogadad. Venus and nodes have

association with the all the three and they become yogadas and

mahayogadas.

 

Of these, Venus is the most important as he is AL lord and has

neecha bhanga. He is in Gopuramsa. He is in Bhojana avastha.

Parasara taught that a natural benefic in Bhojana (eating)

avastha in a quadrant will bring excellent results. A planet

in bhojana avastha is like a person having his food. Such a

planet will be happy and relaxed. Quadrants from a house show

vital supporting activity to that house matters. A natural

benefic in such state in a quadrant from lagna will give good

support to self.

 

Though Sanjay seems to question my use of D-40, Parasara taught

that auspicious and inauspicious results are shown by D-40. In

this chart, Venus is exalted in D-40. A planet exalted in D-40,

I have seen in my studies, brings very auspicious results. Good

placement in D-40 significantly contributes to the strength of a

yoga. Here Venus is exalted in D-40.

 

So, Venus is the most important mahayogada in this chart. Venus

dasa comes at the young age of 2001-2020. So I agree with the

prediction made on SJVC site about Venus dasa bringing excellent

results to him and his family.
