Guest guest
Dear Karu, > According to Narasimha it is starting from " Prabhawa " and according to YND > starting from " Vijaya " . No no, I did not say that. I only quoted it from a website. Telugus start their years from Prabhava because of Salivahana saka. I did not clearly remember if Kali yuga started in Vijaya or Vikrama, but assumed Vikrama because the next year is Vikrama and Sanjay said a new chakra starts then! I am totally confused by all this. If Kali yuga started in Vijaya, why is a new chakra starting in Vikrama? Moreover, I divided 1200x360=432000 years into sub-yugas, sub-sub-yugas etc and did not see how it comes down to a mahachakra of 1200 years comprising of 480+360+240+120 years of Kritadi chakras. The numbers simply don't add up correctly. Sanjay, plaease throw more light. In addition, I wondered why these are called Jovian years. There is a correlation between Saturn-Jupiter cycles and these 60-year cycles, but the correlation can be off by a year or two at times. Sanjay, we have so many unanswered questions that are puzzling our minds and please answer these questions. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
