I am afraid that will be taking too much liberty with the principles.

Your D-20 shows *your* upasana. If you worship Chandi along with your family

(because She is your family deity), that will be shown in the 2nd in your D-20.

(Note: If you never worship your family deity along with your family and if your

family life is detached from worship, then you cannot expect the influences I

mentioned to be present!)

D-20 shows only your upasana. Your father's upasana may be seen from D-12.

Everything related to father is seen from D-12. (Note: Find the 9th from Sun in

D-12 and see where its lord is situated (in D-12). The 5th from there may

suggest your father's favorite deity.)

(1) The 9th from lagna, (2) the 9th lord from lagna, (3) the arudha of 9th from

lagna, (4) the 9th from Sun and (5) the 9th lord from Sun - all these are

important reference points when drawing conclusions about father. But each has a

unique purpose and we should not mix them up. To see father's upasana, 9th lord

from Sun is the most apt reference point.

Vijay explained it.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,
