Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Steve, Following is the extract from the old 'Varahamihira' e-mail about yogada given by Mr.Narasimha Rao. "Yogada strictly means "yogam dadaati iti yogadaha", i.e.one who gives yoga is yogada. So it is equivalent toyogakaraka (a planet participating in a yoga, i.e. a goodcombination). However, the term yogada is used particularlyto describe a planet that associates with lagna, horalagna(wealth) and ghatilagna (power), by way of conjunction, ownership or aspect. If the lord of GL occupies lagna andaspects HL (by rasi aspect), for example, then he becomesa yogada. He brings great success. This is listed amongthe raja yogas in BPHS.A planet linking lagna with GL or lagna with HL may alsobe called a yogada."
