Guest guest
Pravraj Yoga As I understand this, it is a combination that leads to a) loss of attachments and/or material benefits b) this can bring about a drive towards spiritual development c) this in turn can lead to a renunciate life style To my understanding, this seems to be based on a reaction to serious misfortune, or suffering on one hand. Or to a concentration of energy that cannot be satisfied with an average way of life and leads to a search. The factors in the chart may indicate the direction this takes. Afflictions to the 2nd from upapada, which give a loss of the partner, could in some cases incline one to a renunciate life. Perhaps this would depend on the rest of the chart. On the other hand, the concentration of energies in one place, could make it hard for that person to easily integrate into society and provide a natural sense of alienation. This in turn could lead to search and end in spiritual disciplines and a renunciate way of life. I do find that people with a concentration of grahas in a sign in some sense feel at exile from the rest of society. There is also a sense of alienation when the moon is conjoined with saturn and ketu. This too appears to detach the mind. Given the right circumstances (as shown by the rest of the chart and dasas) this could lead to a renunciate lifestyle. The potential seems to arise from various areas. Even when a spiritual lifestyle is chosen, the type of discipline could vary depending on the person. I suspect it may be very unlikely that someone who is renunciate due to an afflicted 2nd house from upapada would look for a solitary discipline. Instead, the spiritual family would very likely become a substitute for the missing family. Someone with a moon with ketu and saturn may look for a solitary inward discipline. Someone with a very strong concentration of planets may become a leader of a spiritual movement. Sun and saturn also seem to me quite significant in this. Even where there is no explicit spiritual leanings, the aspect of a strong saturn on a strong sun, appears to give some level of detachment, and often the practive of karma yoga without any necessary association with a spiritual discipline. This in some way leaves the soul free from petty matters. However it can make relationship with the father quite difficult, These are just some thoughts on the matter. As I have very little experience of charts of this nature, my contribution here is very limited.
