Budhashtami Vrata - Visti Larsen ji need help.

Dear Visti Larsen ji,

 

Recently I happened to listen to your lecture and came across your commentary on

budhashtami vrata. It got me really interested and do want to takeup the vrata.

 

Can you please check if I need to do this vrata.

 

I am cancer lagna, Moon in 8th. In lagna I have Venus and Rahu (both in Aslesha

Nakshatra). My mercury is exalted in 3rd house and vargottama.

 

In navamsa mercury is in virgo in the 12th house.

 

What got me interested is that you had commented that if rahu is in NE in

Kalachakra then budha-astami vratha is a must. I checked in my Kalachakra chart,

Venus and Rahu are both in NE (Ishana). [Note: I am mentioning Venus also

because both the graha are together and are in yuti, with Rahu winning the graha

yudha].

 

Anyways, I do have a very bad memory and it should be because of Rahu being in

Lagna and being in NE in Kalachakra chart.

 

1) Should I do budha-ashtami vrata? Can you please point me to the procedure?

 

2) I was checking when next wednesday Ashtami is occuring and to my region the

next is April 21, 2010.

 

3) This year on December 23, 2009, Wednesday starts with sapthami and has

ashtami later part of day, can I use this day?

 

Please help.
