Hello,

I'm travelling to India from late December to late January, and am especially

interested in meeting astrologers during my journey. I am planning a trip to

Andhra Pradesh and am especially interested in meeting any astrologers near

Hyderabad who have insight into the history of the jaimini tradition in Andhra

Pradesh and how it came to be so central to its culture. Indeed, this would be a

good question to pose to the group in general as a topic of discussion,

hopefully to be continued at length in person in Andhra Pradesh.

I will also be travelling extensively through Tamil Nadu, and would welcome any

resources about Nav Graha temples in Kumbhakonam as well as Nadi astrologers in

that region.

Among the places I will be travelling to are Kolkata, Pune , Hyderabad,

Thiruvanmalai, and Kumbhakonam. If there are any group members in those places

who would like to meet or who have information about the areas, please feel free

to contact me privately.

Best Wishes,

Antoine

Dear Antoine,

I wish somebody replied to your request as I am reluctant to write on these fora

maintained by SJC or its disciples. Since, nobody replied, I break my vow and

wish to give some information to you as you are travelling to India.I am giving

the following information only pertaining to Jaimini System. I don't have any

contact or access to the below mentioned scholars except my Guruji.

If you are interested to learn Jaimini, you may contact some of the persons

below, as they are considered the icons in Jaimini in Andhra Pradesh.

1. Sri Iranganti Rangacharya

2. Sri Madhura Krishna Murthy

3. Sri Pidaparthi Siva Kumar

4. Sri Satyamma Bharadhwaja (He wrote a nice book on Jaimini Rasi Dasas)

The above mentioned Scholars are situated in Hyderabad except Sri Madhura.

Internet is replete with a no. of Jaimini Scholars and you can also consider

meeting them , for example Sri Sanjay Rath in Delhi, Sri Suresh Chandra Mishra

in Delhi, a great scholar who has translated a number of astrological classics

into Hindi and English, Mr. Ravindra Bhagawat in Mumbai etc.

Welcome to India,

Warm Regards,

Shanmukha
